Chapter 111 - What Did You Call Me For?

action

Then glancing at Fu Hua, she saw he was still confused. She couldn't stand there and explain further as she was not his biology teacher, so she hurriedly escaped from his sight after she picked up the sheets.

Fu Hua could only watch as Jia Li fled in embarrassment. He glanced at the bedside and saw the jacket she left behind, then he walked up to pick it. And just then, a knock sounded on the door.

Fu Hua put the jacket on the bed as he said in a cold tone, "Come in!"

The door was pushed open, as a trolley of food was wheeled into the room.

"Sir, I've brought breakfast for Miss Qin." The servant said after she served the food.

"Mmm, you may leave." Fu Hua said as he waved his hand for her to leave.

The servant bowed and left after she wheeled the cart to a good position.

After the servant left, Fu Hua was wondering how long it would take Jia Li to keep the sheets in the laundry basket and come out.

He glanced at his wristwatch before walking towards the door. He knocked on it before saying,

"Jia Li, so you plan to sleep in there?"

Jia Li who had been hiding inside glanced at the door nervously.

Fu Hua didn't hear any response from her, so he added, "Breakfast is served, don't spend your whole day there."

Jia Li sighed tiredly. She really wanted to spend some time alone but it looks like he wouldn't let her.

Jia Li walked towards the door and opened it. When she walked out of the inner room with new sheets, she saw Fu Hua sitting on the couch with his phone in hand, and he seemed to be really busy.

Jia Li walked towards the bed with steady steps, and in a few minutes, the bed was dressed neatly.

Sighing to herself, she glanced at Fu Hua, who was sitting on the couch. She was already very hungry and wanted to eat, but she didn't know why he would go to the same couch where her food was served, to sit.

Jia Li was still contemplating when her stomach grumbled. She covered her stomach embarrassingly as she glanced towards Fu Hua who only spared her a glance before looking back at his phone.

"Why are you still standing there?" He asked with his gaze on his phone.

Jia Li slowly walked towards him, and as she tried to sit on the couch, she had a funny way of doing that, which caught Fu Hua's attention.

"Are you....?"

"Thank you for the breakfast." Jia Li said, cutting off any other word he had left to say.

Fu Hua could only keep quiet as he went ahead to continue with his research online. And if only Jia Li saw what he was reading, she would have spat her food out.

Jia Li ate quietly as Fu Hua continued to browse on the internet. He was making inquiries to find out more about a woman's first-time s*x experience.

He has only slept with two women in his life, and according to them, they were virgins, but why were their experiences, different?

From what he read on the internet, Fu Hua could tell the reason Jia Li bled. But as for the reason Feng Alix had a different experience, another article described it.

The reason she didn't bleed on her first time (according to her) maybe because of sports or exercise.

After noting all of these, Fu Hua was lost in thought. He was so quiet and calm at the same time that Jia Li was wondering what he was thinking about.

Jia Li did not bother with him. She ate to her satisfaction and gathered the plates and remaining food on the trolley before pushing it outside the door.

Coming back to the room, Fu Hua glanced at her and said, "Wear something nice, I'm taking you somewhere."

Jia Li looked surprised as she reminded him, "But I just finished eating."

"Oh! you can rest for a while then. Your painting arrived yesterday and was delivered to the room by one of the servants when we were having dinner. Where do you want to put it?" Fu Hua asked as he pointed to the painting that was still wrapped and sitting on one corner of the room.

"Wow!" Jia Li exclaimed as she walked towards the painting. She lifted it and admired it before carrying it with her and went to sit on the couch beside Fu Hua.

She put the painting on the floor beside her before proceeding to unwrap it with a smile on her face.

Fu Hua was thinking how easily Jia Li was fascinated by just a painting.

"Fu Hua, thank you!" Jia Li said with an appreciative smile while admiring the painting she just unwrapped.

"Where do you want to put it?" Fu Hua asked after acknowledging her appreciation.

Jia Li glanced at the walls in the room before looking back at Fu Hua. "Can I put it here in the room?" She asked, not sure if he would agree with her request.

"I will ask someone to put it up for you before we leave." Fu Hua replied and his phone started ringing immediately after that.

Glancing at the caller ID, Fu Hua frowned but didn't hesitate to answer the call.

Jia Li knew the call was kind of important, so she left the room with the papers that were used to wrap the paintings.

Fu Hua glanced at her back until she disappeared out of the room before glancing back at the painting she left behind.

"Speak!" Fu Hua spat out in a cold tone.

"Are you still angry with me?" The familiar female voice asked from the other side of the world.

"What did you call me for?" Fu Hua asked as he was starting to get annoyed.

Feng Alix knew she had to stop beating around the bush, so she went straight to the point. "I'm sorry about the other day. I landed a huge job but didn't tell you about it when I knew we had plans..."

Fu Hua didn't wait to hear what she still had to say, so he directly asked, "If you want to talk about this, I don't have time for it."

"Okay. I forgot you would be in the office by now." Feng Alix said in a low tone but Fu Hua didn't feel it was necessary to correct her.

She didn't have to know where he was, who he was with, or what he was doing, so he didn't say a word about that.
