Chapter 1631

Ellinor politely replied to the young waitstaff. “She didn’t come with us, but she says she knows me. Let me chat

with her for a bit and check if she might be the child of someone i know. Meanwhile, you can continue asking in the

other rooms to see where she might have wandered off from, and then come back to collect her here.”

The waiter found her suggestion reasonable and, after leaving Lea in Ellinor’s care, moved on to the next room.

Ellinor looked down at the little girl she had no recollection of. “Come on in with us for now.”

Lea, more than happy to oblige, quickly followed Ellinor into the private room.

Tristan’s expression darkened slightly. His brows were furrowed, and he began pouting his lips.

Upon noticing Tristan’s mood, Byran flicked him on the forehead playfully. “What’s on your mind?”

Shaken from his thoughts, Tristan glanced outside their room with complicated eyes He suspected his father was

also in the restaurant, but he didn’t know how to broach the subject with his uncle. Shrugging, he shook his head at

Byran.

Byran found the boy’s behaviour odd but let it slide. After leading Tristan back into the room, he closed the door

behind them.

Everyone was curious as to why Ellinor unexpectedly brought in a little girl.

Chase asked, “Boss, whose kid is this?”

Ellinor shrugged. “I’m not sure yet. She claims to know me.”

All eyes were on Lea, a stranger to everyone present.

Lea, oblivious to their stares, kept her gaze fixated on Ellinor

Feeling slightly uncomfortable under her intense stare, Ellinor asked, “Little lady, you say you know me, but could

you tell me how?”

Even now, Ellinor was inclined to believe the child had mistaken her for someone else.

Lea, with a serious expression, stared at Ellinor. “I know you. My family has been looking for you for years. Don’t

you remember me?”

Ellinor studied Lea’s face again but still found no familiarity. She shook her head. “Sorry, I don’t remember. You say

your family has been looking for me? For what?”

“To thank you!”

Ellinor was even more confused. “Thank me? For what?”

Growing slightly impatient, Lea explained, “Because you saved my mom’s life a few years ago. My parents had

been searching for their savior for a long time but had found no leads. It’s great that I found you today.”

As she spoke, she tightly gripped Ellinor’s hand, revealing her excitement.

Ellinor still couldn’t remember saving the girl’s mother. “Are you sure you haven’t mistaken me for someone else?”

Lea shook her head vigorously. “No way! I could never forget you. You’re so beautiful. You’re the most beautiful

person I’ve ever seen in my life. How could I mistake you for someone else?”

Ellinor smiled faintly. She had to admit that this girl was an expert at flattery.

Chase teased. “Boss, when did you do such a good deed behind our backs?”

Byran chimed in. “Sis, you’re quite forgetful. You can’t even remember saving a life.”

Ellinor shot them a glance, then gently patted Lea’s shoulder. “Kid, calm down. Take your time and tell me about

the circumstances under which I saved your mom.” Nodding, Lea took a moment to gather her thoughts and began

her story.
