Chapter 1674
This area was conspicuously deserted. It was far from the typical clinic hustle and bustle.
Ellinor suspected Sophia was up to something again and edged towards the door of the consultation room, straining
to catch the murmur of the voices within.
Fortunately, the soundproofing of the hospital room left much to be desired, and she could make out the
conversation quite clearly.
Inside the room, Sophia was speaking with unusual politeness. “Dr. Tam, I scheduled an appointment with you
yesterday for my husband. We need you to examine his legs and see if there’s any chance for him to walk again.”
The doctor nodded. “Ah, yes, Ms. Sophia. We’ve got everything ready. We can take your husband straight for the

Sophia expressed her gratitude. “Thank you, Dr. Tam!”
Then she turned to the man in the wheelchair with a gentle tone. “Marcus, let Dr. Tam take a thorough look at you.
He’s one of the best orthopedic doctors around. If there’s any glimmer of hope, he might be able to cure your
legs.”
Marcus sat in the wheelchair. His face was as expressionless as ever, and he merely grunted in response.
He doubted Sophia’s sincerity in seeking treatment for his legs. If she truly desired his recovery, she would have
sought the best medical help for him a long time ago, not just now.
Outside the room, Ellinor and Balfour exchanged glances. They had overheard the conversation and were both
suspicious of Sophia’s seemingly good intentions.
Sophia’s primary tool in keeping Theo tethered to her was his inability to walk. It was the reason he could not
escape her. Given her fear of losing Theo, how could she genuinely want to heal his legs? There must be a plot
brewing.
Soon, they heard the sound of a wheelchair being pushed out of the room and approaching the door. They quickly
moved to a concealed location.
Shortly after they hid, the door to the consultation room opened, and a nurse pushed Theo out, directing him into a
special examination room across the hall.
Sophia, however, did not follow.
Ellinor felt her suspicion grow and stepped out of their hiding spot. She hesitated between going to the special
examination room to find Theo or staying to listen to Sophia and the doctor’s conversation,
As she wavered, Balfour pulled her back to the door of the consultation room, where Sophia and the doctor were
speaking again.

“Dr. Tam, you’ve arranged everything as I instructed, right?” Sophia asked.
“Rest assured, Ms. Sophia. Everything has been done as per your wishes.” The doctor replied.
“That’s good! But with so many people in the hospital, won’t we be interrupted?”
“You needn’t worry. These examination rooms are disused and usually deserted. I’ve prepared everything inside.
We’ll successfully retrieve your husband’s sperm for an artificial insemination procedure in the future.”
“That’s a relief. Thank you.”
Outside the room, Ellinor and Balfour realized Sophia’s true intentions.
She hadn’t brought Theo in for a leg examination at all. She was planning to extract Theo’s sperm and conceive a
child through artificial insemination.
All this was happening without Theo’s knowledge or consent.
Furious, Ellinor clenched her fists, unable to imagine what kind of perverse treatment awaited Theo in that special
examination room.
