Patricia looked stunned. Balfour had never been this serious with her before.

hardships; she’s rather strong and independent. It’s understandable if she has difficulty accepting that she’s found
her long-lost family”
Balfour closed his eyes. He was tired and began to laugh sarcastically, “No, she’s known all along.”
Quinton furrowed his brow, “Ms. Mendoza knew you were her brother all along?”
Balfour let out a heavy sigh, “Yes. From the start, she endured all my extreme actions, even though I was her
brother. But she didn’t say anything and treated me as
a stranger.
Do you think she’d want to recognize me?”
