Chapter 2185
“Morning, Ivy! Break a leg today!” Ryan called out with his usual boisterous charm.
Ryan was quite enthusiastic. Every morning, he greeted Ivy with such an ease that it lifted her spirits, a stark
contrast to the oppressive moods of the past.
“And a one, two, three, action!”
The scene was set on the beach, a place that held dear childhood memories for the lead character. On this sandy
stage, she and David had a very important scene together.

he was truly about to depart for a world she had never known.
It was meant to be a heart-wrenching scene, yet Colton, the director, insisted that Ivy not burst into tears right from
the start.
And yet, as soon as the cameras rolled and she faced the man she had quickly fallen for, who was now about to
leave, Ivy couldn’t hold back her tears.
“Why wouldn’t you tell me? Did you think I would cling to you and never let go?”
David’s face was a portrait of compassion as he saw her distress.
“No, that’s not it at all. I didn’t think that of you. I just didn’t know how to tell you, nor could I find the right
moment,” David said, a sad smile breaking through his sorrow. “Darling, would you come away with me? Leave this
city and return to my hometown? I’ve often thought of taking you there. I’ve held your hand and walked the paths
of your upbringing. Now, we have this opportunity. Would you come with me back to where I come from?”
David stretched out his arms towards her, ready to envelop her in a comforting embrace… Ivy was too deep in
character, and the thought of this man being torn from her world brought real tears of agony.
“Cut! Ivy, pull it back. You’re not supposed to cry yet,” Colton’s voice came through the intercom, tinged with a hint
of severity.
Sniffling, Ivy watched as the makeup artist hurried over for touch-ups. She apologized to the crew, expressing her
regret for the retake.

The makeup artist, touching up Ivy’s face, reassured her with a smile. “It’s okay, you’re so talented that one retake
doesn’t matter. Don’t be too hard on yourself.”
Ryan teased her with a grin, “Ms. Dunhill, you’re usually a one-take wonder. You’ve set the bar high for us all. Now,
you’ve finally come down to earth with the rest of us mortals.”
