Chapter 1545 Did You Guys Do It?
She took the bowl to the kitchen and placed it in the dishwasher. Thereafter, she leaned by the sink.
Truth be told, she had no idea what she was thinking.
Am I angry, sad or desperate?
I don’t think so, though. Everything has calmed down, but it still affects me a little.
Then, she washed her hands. After thinking about it, she went downstairs.
During the day, the neighborhood was not that busy. It was usually during the evening that the elderly and the
students would exercise there. Compared to that, it was quite quiet now.
And so, Cindy went to the park and sat down on a long bench.
Then, she took out her phone to send messages to Naomi, asking when she would finish work that night.
Instead, Cindy saw a friend request from Facebook—it turned out to be from Gary.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt was quite an understandable move. After all, he said that he would report the latest data of her investment to
her.
Surely he wouldn’t call each time, so the easiest way was to send her a message online.
And so, she quickly approved his request. There was no reaction from him, so he probably had not noticed the
latest notification.
After thinking about it, she looked through his profile.
Initially, she thought he would post many motivational quotes or information related to his investment plans.
That, however, was not the case. Gary was pretty active on Facebook, but all he posted was daily incidents.
For example, he posted that he had dinner with his clients and he worried about his alcohol tolerance being not that
good.
Another time, he was complaining that he needed to put on some makeup for the recent promotion of a show.
Sometimes, when he worked overtime, he drank too much coffee and could not sleep.
All his posts were about daily, mundane stuff, but Cindy felt quite comfortable looking at his profile.
She picked a few posts to like before exiting the application and called Naomi.
Naomi picked up the phone quite quickly, but she sighed and complained about being busy at work. She would
probably be busy all day and would knock off work late.
At such moments, Cindy thought that she was luckier. When Ian was not that busy, she was able to relax as well.
Even if her days might not be very meaningful, they were stress-free and relaxing.
Naomi seemed to pick up this call secretly. With an emotional tone, she said, “It’s better to have a boyfriend,
especially a handsome and rich one.”
Cindy then murmured, “Yeah, I think so too, so you have to quickly find a guy. He doesn’t have to support your living
expenses, but at least he can console you when you are annoyed about working overtime. Not like me, who only
calls you and shows off my relationship.”
When Naomi heard that, she got a bit mad. “Oh—this is so infuriating!”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWith that, she thought of something and suddenly asked, “I must say, Cindy, I have been quite curious lately. Since
you have lived together with Ian, has the thing that is supposed to happen happened?”
Upon hearing that, Cindy blushed. Of course she understood what Naomi was referring to.
However, she snorted and muttered, “I wonder what goes on in your head all the time.”
Naomi heaved a long sigh in response. “I’m just curious. Since we are all adults, there’s nothing to hide. So how was
it? Ian looks like a gentleman, but is he ferocious at other times?”
Cindy did not expect that Naomi would suddenly direct the topic of their conversation to that.
She could not help herself from blushing. “What’s wrong with you?! Why are you suddenly so interested in these
things? You used to be an innocent girl. You have only started working for half a year, so whatever happened to
your pure mind?”
At that, Naomi heaved another long sigh. “Well, I’m being triggered at work today. Two of my colleagues from the
client company were all lovey-dovey in front of me, and they were hugging and kissing each other. I almost lost my
temper there, you know? Can’t they be intimate when they are at home? Why do they need to do that in public and
hurt all our eyes?”
Cindy felt like laughing when she heard that. “I see! But you can’t do anything about it, though. They are not
breaking the law. The worst thing you can say is that they aren’t well-mannered.”
