Chapter 2101 Blatant Ignorance
The more this dragged on, the more agonizing it was.
Once Cindy finished washing up the fruits and slicing them up, she brought the platter to the living room. Then, she
sat down next to Ian on the couch and glanced at his phone screen, only to be surprised when she saw that he was
not scrolling through the news. Instead, he was playing a round of video games.
Relief flooded through her at the sight of this. She initially thought that he might be bothered by the man and what
his next move might be, but from the looks of it, Ian didn't seem affected at all. That's good, she thought. She didn't
think they had to be rattled by the man and whatever trouble he had threatened against them.
On the other hand, Aurora did not treat the matter with the same cavalier her son had displayed. She was fervently
scrolling through several online news platforms, waiting for something to spring up. That man had put up a
statement claiming that he would drop groundbreaking news relating to both Aurora and Ian, further stating that he
would choose a time to carry this out.
Netizens flooded the comments section under the statement. Most of them wondered if the groundbreaking news

However, the man did not respond to any of these. His account had been newly registered on the social media
platform, which meant he had probably set it up to get back at Aurora.
Upon reading the things this man had posted thus far, Aurora realized just how much they reflected his true
personality. His online statements were just as nonsensical and unstructured as he was.
That said, this was a good thing; it only went to show that he was working alone.
If he managed to put up stuff that looked as though it had been professionally dug up, she would start wondering if
he had a team to support his vile endeavors. If that were the case, he would have the resources to drag both
Aurora and Ian's reputations through the mud. In fact, Ian could've very well been his main target all along.
She didn't want this to affect Ian in the slightest. She would much rather be the target of public scrutiny and
wrongful ostracization than have Ian suffer the brunt of the man's schemes.
After a while, Aurora's phone started ringing again, and this went on several times. The calls were all made by the
man, and toward the end, he grew anxious while sending her multiple angry texts.
Most of the texts contained more or less the same threats he had hurled at them in person. He was probably
ignorant of the law, or he would have known that in texting such things, he had personally given them evidence to
hold him accountable for extortion.
He even included his plans in his blackmail, claiming that he would not settle for less than fifty million. Otherwise, he
would leak news so bombastic that it could bring about Ian's downfall in the entertainment industry.
He also added that he was not afraid of anything. After all, he was on his own, and he had nothing to lose.
Aurora had been rather annoyed at first, but after receiving these texts, she was rendered speechless. Anyone with
half a mind would not resort to doing such things, but he had exposed himself by telling her what he had done and
what he was about to do.
She went on to ignore him, but the more she did this, the more he flew into a rage, and in an attempt to intimidate
her, he sent texts that spilled more of his oh-so-diabolical plans.
At this point, she was completely taking this in stride and found it rather amusing; to have things turn out this way
was rather unexpected. She really believed that the man would find a way to put Ian in the center of controversy
again, but from the looks of it, she had overestimated him.
The man was not intimidating at all. He was not the storm beyond the horizon he had made himself out to be, but a

He went on to send her several more texts, but having received not a single response from Aurora, he stopped.
When peace resumed, she focused on the news which was devoid of any scandal that involved her and Ian. Then,
she captured the new texts he had sent her and forwarded the pictures to Hannah. After that, she set her phone
aside and leaned into the couch.
While this was happening, Ian merely played his video game in silence. When he noticed Aurora's somewhat
restless stance, he maneuvered his avatar through the game and said, "Don't worry. That guy's nothing but trash,
and as far as I know, he can't possibly hurt you. We'll just have to make sure that we keep all this evidence in hand
so that we can flip the narrative on him when he decides to make a move. Even if he were to find a legal team to
defend him, we can still handle it."
Aurora looked up and stared at the ceiling. Then, she hummed wearily in response and said, "I know, but I don't
care anymore. I've realized that this guy is a complete idiot, and to think that I had actually been intimidated by
him."
Cindy laughed at this and piped up from the side, "After this incident, the man will probably never bother you again.
Look on the bright side—at least we have a secret weapon that can help us solve this problem."
The corner of Aurora's lips curled up. "You're right, that does make me feel better."
