The middle-aged man had a square face and was dressed in a grey robe. He gave off this powerful vibe that made people quiver in

fear.

The old man was short and thin with a moustache. He looked solemn.

At first glance, they looked like ordinary people as they weren't releasing any sort of energy.

Commoners could easily mistake them as people who didn't have any martial arts skills.

It was difficult to judge their vital energy realms.

However, Austin was different. The minute he laid eyes on them, he was immediately shocked.

'On the outside, they may look harmless but that's not the case; they're extremely dangerous. They possess infinite power that

could destroy everything.’

At that time, the two people on the altar were sitting cross legged and their hands were constantly making mysterious gestures.

Both of them were so focused on what they were doing that they didn't even look up when Austin and Caroline entered the palace.

"That's Evil Shadow King!"

Caroline exclaimed, pointing at the middle-aged man.

Evil Shadow King was Caroline's father after all so it was easy for her to instantly recognize him.

"So the other one must be Counselor Alex.

They seem to be performing sritual,"

Austin observed.

"Evil Shadow King, Counselor Alex wants to hurt you!"

Austin shouted.

When he spoke, he used his vital energy to amplify his voice. His booming voice caused visible rippling waves.

They rushed towards the altar in the center of the palace.

‘Evil Shadow King is as strong as a sect ancestor. As long as he hears me, he'll get suspicious which will make it harder for

Counselor Alex to attack him.

After all, a sect ancestor has invincible power. It's hard to really kill them, ' Austin thought to himself.

But in the next moment, something unexpected happened.

An array appeared out of the blue in front of Austin. It absorbed the sounds waves produced by Austin.

"Oh, shit! There are Isolation Arrays in the palace.

The space in this palace has been divided into two parts.

However, as twent on, the numbers kept increasing—more and more grey runes were coming out of their bodies.

The runes were producing strong winds that blew violently. Within a few seconds, they had covered the entire palace.

Evil Shadow King and Counselor Alex sat still, as if they had no idea what was happening around them. A multitude of grey runes

were still gushing out of their bodies like torrents.

The grey runes rushed into the tall headless statue.

"It seems that they are in the middle of ssacrifice.

It's very similar to the traditional sacrificial rituals of our race,"

Caroline said to Austin, looking surprised.

"Sacrificial?"

Austin widened his eyes in surprise.

'It must be samazing sacrifice. Otherwise they wouldn't perform it in person, ' Austin thought.

Just then, the headless statue on the altar suddenly began to shake.

An ear-splitting sound was heard from inside the statue.

Everyone in the palace felt a sharp pain in their eardrums.

At the stime, a horrifying grey power began to emerge from the statue and spread in all directions like ripples.

Austin could sense that the overbearing force was too much for him to handle.

It seemed that nothing in the palace could escape it.

The grey energy ripple had frozen everything.

Startled, Austin, Caroline and the demonic avatar turned around in an attempt to run away.

But it was too late.

In the blink of an eye, the grey energy had reached the three of them.

This rendered them immobile, frozen in their places.

The men from the evil shadow race were also rendered immobile due to the grey energy.

These men were the most powerful in the Evil Shadow World excluding Evil Shadow King and Counselor Alex.
