"Oh my god! They are the members of the beast race!"

Facing more than a dozen members of the beast race, the couple turned deathly pale, despair creeping up on their faces.

The two of them stepped back, hiding their daughter behind them. The couple was immensely nervous but they were ready to fight

until their last breath.

"It looks like we will die here today," the woman said.

Her eyes expressed how she had already resigned to fate, that she would die today

"Don't be afraid. It is just death. Even if we die, our family will still be together,"

the man comforted her.

"Gentlemen, | am so sorry. | misunderstood you just now.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do.

The real members of the beast race are here.

And there is no way to escape. They have us completely surrounded."

The man was sincerely apologetic as he looked at Austin, Fletcher and Shepard.

At this point, he could tell that the three strangers were not members of the beast race.

"Wait! Two of them are cultivators?

| thought they were all mortals!

The dozen members of the beast race were overjoyed to find that the couple was at the Divine Realm.

They failed to see the strengths of Austin, Shepard, and Fetcher for two reasons.

First, all three were divine gods while they were merely at the Divine Realm.

And second, the three had actually concealed their auras deliberately.

"Let's kill the husband and capture his wife, to keep for ourselves. We can also bring that little girl along!"

one of the members of the beast race said excitedly to his comrades.

With that, the dozen members of the beast race released an overwhelming amount of demonic energy, aimed at the couple and

ready to take pulverize them.

The couple felt the demonic power that was about to take their lives. Despair and resignation was written all over their faces.

'We are outnumbered.

There is no chance of defeating them!" the couple thought.

"How about we just take our own lives together?

It's better than be humiliated by them," the woman said.

Her pretty face couldn't hide the anger and frustration that she was feeling.

The man looked troubled and didn't know how to answer his wife's question. He just looked at her and said nothing.

"Ahem. Excuse me. You don't have to be afraid.

They are just a bunch of useless weaklings.

| assure you, you will be fine,"

Austin said abruptly.

"What did you just say?"

The couple were dumbfounded. They had already accepted their fate, to die on this day.

"Fuck! What the hell are you saying, you loser? Who the hell do you think you are, calling us weaklings?!"

The members of the beast race were pissed off at what Austin just said.

"Go to hell, you filthy brat!"

With that, one of them stretched out his hand to attack Austin.

Austin placed his hands behind his back, and stayed put, not moving an inch.

In an instant, the hand was just a few inches away from Austin.

However it couldn't draw closer to him as if there was an invisible wall of energy between them.

The couple were confused at the scene, not knowing what to make of it.

Without moving, Austin released a bit of his energy using only his mind.

The wave of energy swept out toward the members of the beast race, hitting them all.

No one was spared as they all turned into dust in a heartbeat.

"Wow! That's awesome, dude!"

Shepard exclaimed.

Fletcher was also quite surprised at Austin's performance.

Both Fletcher and Shepard were preliminary-grade divine gods. It was also easy work for them to take out those members of the

beast race who were merely at the Divine Realm.

However, it was impossible for them to slay a dozen members of the beast race unleashing only a bit of energy like Austin did.

"They are all... dead?" the couple uttered in disbelief, searching for any traces of the members of the beast race.

They found none.

They were too weak to realize that the members of the beast race had all died in Austin's hands.

"Dude, do you know what happened to them? How did they suddenly turn into powder like that? Did you do that?"

the man asked as he and his wife looked at Austin in confusion.

They guessed that Austin had killed them all.

"So you killed those monsters and saved us?"

the little girl asked as she innocently stared at Austin with her big eyes.

"Yes, | saved you from those demons," Austin replied with a friendly smile.

He had grown fond of the little girl.

"Austin, smembers of my family are indeed hiding in this village. | can sense that they are seriously injured.

| need to go and check on them,"

Shepard said to Austin before he dashed into the village.

"So you are looking for the members of the Wu family?"

the man asked in surprise.

"Yes," Austin replied with a nod.

He and Fletcher began following Shepard closely.

Not wanting to be left by themselves, the couple and their daughter followed them into the village as well.

Shepard found the members of his family in the east of the village. They were hiding under a remote house made of tiles.

There were about fifty people.

They were all cultivators, and all of them had sustained severe injuries. They needed to be treated immediately.

All of them hid in the hole that they had dug out under the house.

Several brilliant arrays were set up around the hole to hide their auras from prying eyes, especially vile and sinister members from

the beast race.

If Shepard didn't know a secret skill that enabled him to sense his family members, he would not have been able to track them

down.

"Uncle Ennis, what happened to you?

Where are my parents? And grandpa, where is he?"

Shepard asked a middle-aged man in a corner.

the middle-aged man responded with bitterness in his voice.

He was Shepard's uncle, Ennis, a medium-grade divine god.

He was one of the strongest among the surviving members of the Wu family.
