Chapter 32: Updated
“Yes, in a way, it is the same thing, but more sci-fi jets than the normal jets we had on earth,” Amari said.
“Who designed them?” I ask, looking at her, intrigued.
“Do you remember the Nerd group from our class?”
“Nope, I never knew anyone other than you and Yua.”
“How do you not know of them. They were always at the top of the class on exams. ”
“Haha, and what does that prove they know how to remember things from a book. Good for them.”
“Well, two of them are in this kingdom, and they are the designers of the jets and a lot of other things.”
“Woah, that’s So nice of them,” I said sarcastically. “To think they would improve the war potential of the kingdom, making it even a bigger target than it is already.”
.....
Yes, it will protect us better, but that is a double edge sword. We are already a big target because of all our resources, and they want to make it worse by getting more advanced technology.
“We are already in a cold war with the Federation, but if we go on like this, the other 2 kingdoms will join in this war,” I said.
“By cold war, you mean fighting in advancing our technology...” Dean trailed off.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“Don’t tell me they are actually keeping up with us?” I said, hoping I wasn’t right. Seeing Dean nod, I hit the table.
“Now we know where the rest of the nerd group are,” Amari said with a dark excretion.
“I take it back. Let us help them move faster. I can help advance medical science and how doctors operate.” I said.
“That’s a great idea. With you being that bastard of a doctor’s son and having all his knowledge in your head.” Mom said enthusiastically.
“But you just said it is a bad thing. Why did you suddenly change your mind?” Granny questioned.
“You’re slow. It won’t help that we stop with advancing when the Federation keeps on moving forward. I can tell these two to stop, but it will make us sitting ducks if I do that. Might I add that most wars get started by the Federation?” I explain. Thinking about it, she nodded but wasn’t happy being called slow.
Thinking about all the weapons earth had. Nukes came up as a red flag.
“Amari, these two creators of ours have they thought about making nukes?” Seeing her pale just by mentioning the name, everyone sat up curious.
“Sadly, I don’t, but I already know if they have, they would bring mana into it, and that might make it worse. We can talk with them in a week when all the reincarnations get together to have our monthly meeting.” Amari said with a thoughtful expression.
“How many are there in this kingdom even?”
“5 with you 6.” Mom said at my side.
“There were 25 of us in the class, right, including Yua 26? Knowing the Federation, they most likely made an order to find more. I will presume they have between 10 and 15 of us on their side.”
“I don’t think they would make a found order. Knowing the Federation the longest of all of you, I would say they would make it a kill order like they did with the demon foxes.” Hearing the genocide order about my race made all my bloodlust flooded out.
“The fucken Federation can burn in hell for that order. Civilians and all.” I said cynically. Feeling a tap on my shoulder, I calmed down and took a deep breath. “Fuck that order. Sorry about that.” Apologizing, I looked at Amari to see if she was okay. To my surprise, she looked at me with sadness, not showing any reaction to the bloodlust.
“I heard about that order as well. I don’t hate easily, but I hate the Federation the most. I agree with your statement about the Federation being destroyed, without the part about the civilians being included, though.” Amari said with a determined expression, but her eyes showed some concern.
“Thank you. Huh, so they also taught you in bloodlust?” I said, smiling.
“Yes, of course, that is the most important thing when it comes to combat is not to freeze up under bloodlust. Her bloodlust might not be as strong as yours yet, but you have killed people before.” Dean said, with some surprised in his voice.
Hearing him, I looked at Stacy. Feeling my intent, she quickly explains.
“I didn’t tell him anything yet.”
“If you say so. About the order, it will be the dumbest thing not to find them. Take Amari and me here, for example. We both have 3 elements and most likely above-average status. I bet every Reincarnation will be like that, and we also have our knowledge.”
“I agree that it will be a mistake to do that sort of order, but the Federation always thinks about eliminating threats before taking them in,” Granny explains.
“They might be like that, but it is better to prepare for the worse.” Mom said.
“Clap, Before we can go on think about other problems outside the house, we need to finish our own first.” Taking everyone’s attention, I made us begin without our own problems or my problem, to be exact.
“Glad you brought it up. What did my mother talk about you being a mass murderer?” Amari said sternly.
“To answer that question, I would have to tell you about my life before I went to your school,” I said, starting to explain everything about myself. Before I did that, I did the same as the morning with the ice walls and only the family, Rebecca and Lily staying inside.
“Let me get this straight. You were actually the Shiro Adachi, the son of doctor Adachi, the best doctor in the world at the time?” Nodding, Amari continued. “Because you were used as his test dummy for 10 years, you killed everyone and burned the building down.” Nodding again. “Then after that, a terrorist organization took the blame for your work, making them the most hated people on earth. Because you had so much money from the safe, you decided to travel around Japan. Hiding your identity that you learned how to do from the black market. After trading for a year, you decided to settle down and go to my school.” she said, finishing.
“Yeah, that sums up my life.”
“How did you get access to the black market, though?” Lily asks, a bit confuse.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Ooh, that. That’s a funny story. It is also the reason I got my scar on my eye. This happened a week after the massacre. I was walking in an alleyway when a dumb ass attacked me with a knife. Because I was on high alert and was carrying the family katana with me the entire time, I easily killed him. In the process of searching through the guy, someone attacked me from behind, and me not knowing any close combat methods, we had a weird floor fight. At some point, he got the katana at hand, and I had the knife. In the end, I killed him luckily but ended up injured. I needed to find a place to stay until I heal. I also search that guy. Finding an address and keys, I went there.” Starting to laugh, I continue. “Imagine my surprise when I found out the second guy I killed was a master hacker. I stayed at his place for 2 months. In that 2 months, the terrorist organization made my life easier as well.”
“I don’t know if you are unlucky or lucky?” Lily said with a wry smile.
“Me too. When I woke up in this world, I have degraded to a test dummy again, but look at me now a fucken primordial.” I said with my arms stretch out.
“Sigh, I have something to ask,” Amari said. Standing up, she looked at me with a severe expression. Taking a deep breath, she said. “Why the fuck did it take you so long to kill them? Your father was a monster doing that to his own family, and to think he was my idol. Just think about it now wants to make me barf.”
“You know I was 15 at the time, right, and he was famous. It wasn’t that easy.” Being surprised at her sudden outburst, I explain to her that it wasn’t that easy.
“Yeah, I know that but hell. How did no one found out about this.”
“People most likely knew about it, but he was the best doctor that there was.”
“That will make sense. Did Yua know about you? Also, what is this about you being primordial?”
“She found out about it but had a different reaction, and me a primordial will be another long storytelling,” I said, saddened at the memories of that time.
“It kind of makes sense you did kill over 80 people. When did she find out?”
“Couple of months before our reincarnation.”
“If you want to meet him/her again, he will be visiting tomorrow,” Dean said, dropping a bomb.
“Huh? No way?” I said.
“He found out about the attack, and he knew Amari, and I was on our way there,” Dean explained.
“No, make him go away,” I said, pleading.
“He is my fiance, you know,” Amari said, no that much bothered about him visiting.
“I don’t care. I wanted to meet her again but not this soon. I am not ready.” I said, dropping my head on the table.
“You will be fine.” Mom said next to me. Standing up, she continues. “Because Kitsuna told the first story, I will tell the other one, and she will add on when I miss things.”
