“What a mess.”
In one of the pavilions of the Golden Dynasty Academy, Milton Cheney put down the bound booklet in his hand and sighed in his heart.
The journey of cultivation in the Great Void Realm could only be described as a mess by Milton.
Over the years since he joined the Golden Dynasty Academy, he had read countless books on cultivation techniques from this world and without a
doubt, all were disconnected and fragmentary.
It was hard to imagine that this world had once seen glorious times.
In four years, Milton’s understanding of this world deepened more and more. By now, he knew what the End of Dharma Era meant in this world.
The path ahead was cut off, and countless people looked up at the sky and sighed at this insurmountable barrier, but they were utterly helpless. As Milton pondered, a gentle knock sounded at the door of the pavilion.
“Cin.”
The door was pushed open and a middle-aged man walked in.
“Senior Brother Cheney, people from the Yellow Lotus Academy have arrived.
Master wants you to meet them.”
“I see.”
Milton nodded and responded.
In the Everlasting Spring Nation, there were only two Third Grade Academies, the Golden Dynasty Academy and the Yellow Lotus Academy.
The two academies often exchanged their findings. This tthe representatives coming for the exchange were to be received by Milton.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIn the four years at the Golden Dynasty Academy, Milton had grown increasingly influential and had becthe Senior Brother of his cohort. Naturally, such duties fell on him.
After the middle-aged man left, Milton didn’t immediately follow.
Instead, he closed the book in front of him and carefully put it back in place.
He then stood up and left the pavilion.
In four years, he had gone from a Level 2 Wizard Apprentice to a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice. His progress in Meditation Technique was no doubt swift.
But on the path to becoming a Scholar, he made no progress at all. Milton had yet to take the first step.
The reasons were naturally simple. Even if he took the first step into cultivating those chaotic methods, it would still be meaningless.
So, Milton decided, he would wait!
Tflew by, and in the blink of an eye, five years had passed.
Milton swung his hand, and Spiritual Power surged out. The black-robed man in front of him exploded into a fog of blood.
To date, all twelve of the people who had ambushed him were dead without a decent burial.
Yet, not a single drop of blood stained the white robe he was wearing.
“They’ve finally shown their true colors, a joint operation from the Yellow Lotus Academy and the royal family. Well done.”
“Do thev wish to consolidate all the resources of the kingdom and becthe
sole Fourth Grade Academy?”
Milton murmured to himself.
This was not the first the had been ambushed and targeted for assassination.
The number of assassins sent after him increased from one to two, from two to five.
Now, they simply sent a dozen people to surround and try to kill him.
Unfortunately for them, they had no idea that a mere student of the Golden Dynasty Academy could be a real wizard.
Milton’s concentrated Spiritual Power gave him confidence that, within this kingdom, he was invincible, and any attempts against him were fruitless.
Milton took a step, his body seeming like an illusion. He moved a hundred meters in one stride!
Returning to the Golden Dynasty Academy, he looked at the somewhat deserted academy, but his expression remained unchanged.
He walked in a certain direction.
Shortly thereafter.
“Young Cheney, it’s time. Just as we discussed.”
An aged voice rang out in front of Milton.
The next moment, an old man with a smile on his face appeared before Milton.
He placed the golden butterfly in his hand into Milton’s palm, and then closed Milton’s hand over it with his own aged hand, urging him to hold the butterfly tightly.
“Master, it’s still early.”
Milton responded softly, offering no resistance.
He knew that the elder in front of him had high expectations for him.
The old man shook his head gently after hearing Milton’s words. “It is time. I can trust you to take care of the Golden Dynasty Academy.” “But I am not a Scholar.”
“Nobody ever said that the person who controls the Academy must be a Scholar.”
The old man’s attitude did not change. After saying this, he just smiled and looked at Milton.
Milton and the old man stared at each other for a moment before Milton finally nodded his head.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmNo one knew that this simple academy handover would stir a wave, neither too big nor too small, in the historical current of the Great Void Realm.
And this wave, would only grow larger and larger!
Twent by, and a year later.
In the Everlasting Spring Nation.
“Did you hear? The Yellow Lotus Academy is gone, even the royal family has changed hands!”
“Don’t talk nonsense about such things, we shouldn’t meddle in the affairs of such important figures.”
“What can’t be discussed? You’re just too afraid. The news is all over the kingdom. It’s said that after the king died, they didn’t even dare to hold a funeral.”
For the grand wizards in the Wizard Realm, a year might just be a blink of an eye.
But for Milton, this year had allowed him to completely seize control of the Golden Dynasty Academy.
Whether it was the royal family, or Yellow Lotus Academy, they were all buried beneath the tide from the Golden Dynasty Academy. Or rather. drowned under the tide of his sole control-
The Golden Dynasty Academy, inside a massive library.
Countless people moved back and forth, each person’s face carrying a solemn expression.
The majority leisurely found a place to sit down, flipped through the pages of books in front of them, took notes on paper after reading for a while.
The sound of flipping pages and scratching charcoal was clearly audible.
Milton was sitting at a round table with piles of books stacked up in front of him.
He picked up a pen and started writing and drawing. After filling one piece of paper, he would pick up another.
The students passing by cast a gaze of irrepressible awe and admiration towards him.
To the students of the Golden Dynasty Academy, this youthful Dean was nothing short of a deity!
“Wayne Yorke..”
