| was startled for a moment when | saw Matthew after entering the departure lounge. He did not mention that he
would be going too.
"Are you surprised?" Matthew walked toward me. He smiled and asked.
| pursed my lips. "You didn't tellthat you're going t o Salt City too."
He raised his brows. "You're not happy that I'm going with you?"
"No, that’s not it." | waved my arms hurriedly.
Matthew took the luggage that | was holding and said calmly, "If I had told you I'd be going to Salt City with you
yesterday, would Theo have agreed?"
I imagined that for a moment and let out a small sigh." Probably not."
We boarded the plane at eight o'clock. The airplane landed in Salt City's airport at ten o'clock.
After Matthew and | got off the plane, we went straight to the hotel. We rested in our rooms for two hours before

After lunch, we went back to our rooms. | received a call from Theo.

| was going to discuss something with Matthew later. | said helplessly, "We chere because he asked the

not come?"
Theo replied with a light 'mhm' and did not continue this topic. "Remember to eat on time. Don’t drink. If your
head still hurts, ask the hotel staff to get you spainkillers. And don’t forget what | said before-within five
days."
| felt like he was becoming more and more like a mother. "I know. I'm already an adult. | know how to take care
of myself."
"Don't stay in the sroom as Matthew!” Theo suddenly snapped.
"Alright, alright, alright." | lifted my arm and glanced a t the watch on my wrist. "There's something | need to d o.
Talk to you later."
| let out a long sigh of relief after | hung up the phone.

noise caught our attention.
"I know | made a mistake. Please stop beating me." A woman's voice was heard. She was asking for forgiveness
and | furrowed my brows tightly.

| found this hard to believe. This was a five-star hotel. People who were able to chere were wealthy and
