Chapter 4122

Oliver gasped-he looked terrified. In a low voice, he whispered, "At your service, Sir. My name is Ulysses. My men and I are

a backup patrol team, and at the moment, we still haven't heard anything about the new territory's location."

As he spoke, Oliver struggled to keep calm. He continued to say, ' His Majesty, the White Tiger King sent out many backup

patrol teams to search the grounds for fiends like you to distract them and send them on their way. It was to divert your

attention from finding the new territory's location. 0

Oliver's face was the picture of sincerity as he spoke, a sharp contrast to the unease in his heart.

The main goal that day had been to lure the fiend army away to protect the new territory. More importantly, it was a chance

to make up for his wrongdoings. He could not afford to make any mistakes.

Oliver had thought it through. As long as his real identity was not revealed, the Fiend Martyr would not do much to him. He

was, after all, one of the twelve Fiend Martyrs. That was a title of incomparable power, and he would probably not hurt a

patrol guard too severely.

’You don't know?"

Yooda did not suspect Oliver's identity. Yet his face still darkened as he said coldly, "Do you know who I am, young man? Do

you know the consequences of lying to me?"

As he spoke, a terrifying aura rippled through the atmosphere.

Feeling the pressure, Oliver gulped. His senses were flooded with fear, but he managed to

say, ’I'm telling the truth and only the truth. I would never dare lie to you. Please spare me

mercy, Honorable One."

Oliver pretended to be scared out of his wits. His legs wobbled so hard he could barely

stand. 2

Yooda let out a mocking smile at his words. "These Demon warriors have no courage at all,

losing their composure at a mere few questions."

Yooda did not hold back. He continued to mock Oliver. "Fine. Since you don't know where

the new territory is, how do you report to the White Tiger King when you are done with

patrol duty?"

Uhh...

Oliver fell silent. His brain worked furiously as he scrambled for an answer. "The White

Tiger King gave US half a day to complete his orders and to gather at a canyon nearby

after that. His Majesty said he would send men to collect us."

Oliver was panicking at the onslaught of questions. Yet he knew he could not tell the truth.

So, he made things up as he went along.

A canyon?

Yooda's eyes flashed. He asked hurriedly, "What canyon, and where is it?" Yooda could

barely hold back his excitement.

At last, he had received a clue!

Without a shred of hesitation, Oliver gave him the location of the canyon where Darryl had

previously been.

Yooda turned to one of the fiend warriors. "Head there immediately. If you see anyone

from the Demon tribe, kill them!’

'Yes, Honorable Fiend Martyr."

The soldier acknowledged the order, soaring off in the direction of the canyon along with a

few hundred fiend warriors.

"Honorable Fiend Martyr."

Oliver took a careful step forward. In a timid voice, he asked Yooda, "I've told you everything I know. We’re a bunch of

worthless pawns, so we beg for your mercy. Please spare US, Honorable One, and let US leave."

As he spoke, Oliver raised his hand in a solemn promise. He said, "Please, as long as you let US go, Honorable One, I

promise to never come against the fiend folks."

Yooda laughed when he saw the scared, cowardly look on Oliver's face. He waved his hands and said, “Fine. Thank your

lucky stars that I'm in a good

mood today. I'll let you off, so long as you remember your words today."

Oliver had guessed right. Yooda cared greatly about his title and status. He would never lay a finger on those Demon

warriors. They had told him everything they knew anyway.

Yet Yooda did not know that Oliver had utterly fooled him.

"We thank you, Honorable Fiend Martyr."

Oliver could hardly contain his glee. He thanked Yooda profusely and took off with his Demon warriors.
