Chapter 4408

Goldie had lived in the cave for many years and was familiar with the outline of the cave. It had managed to

bring Kendall out of the cave and back onto ground level in no time at all.

Kendall was overwhelmed with emotion when she breathed the fresh air.

She had finally made it out. She thought she would die trapped in the cave.

At that thought, Kendall's features hardened as she swore to herself silently.

'Darryl and Sergio, just you wait. I'm going to restore my powers and have both your heads.'

Meanwhile, in the cave.

Celine and Queenie leaned on each other. Both women looked frail and worn, their brows fraught with

helplessness.

After they were forced to take the Bone Weakener, their bodies ached.

They could not use any strength at all.

Darryl lay sprawled on the ground at a clearing not far from them. His eyes were closed.

He showed no signs of waking up anytime soon either.

The sky was darkening by the second, and Celine and Queenie exchanged anxious

glances.

Just an hour ago, Sergio had left the cave. It was unclear what he had gone off to do. That

would be the perfect chance forthem to escape. However, the pair had taken the Bone

Weakener, and they had no strength to move.

More importantly, they could not just leave Darryl there.

Just then, a fiery glow could be seen outside the cave. Sergio had started a fire before he

skinned two rabbits and skewered them onto branches to roast them.

It looked like he had gone hunting just before that.

Before long, the smell of the roasting meat wafted toward the cave. Celine and Queenie

bit their lips. They had been trapped in the Maple Manor for a few days. They were weak.

On top of that, they had also spent the day exerting quite a bit of energy, so it was no

surprise that they were hungry and tired.

Sergio was not that great of a cook. Yet, Celine and Queenie's stomachs grumbled when

they smell the aroma of cooked meat.

Just then, Sergio walked into the cave with two freshly roasted rabbits. He flashed a smile

at Celine and said, "You must be starving, ladies. Here, I made this just for you."

As he spoke, he sized the two women up. Then, he smirked sinisterly. "You have to eat

before we can move on to doing other things."

Sergio's expression was wrought with ill-intent. He had grown more reckless by the

second.

He believed that he had Celine and Queenie wrapped around his finger, entirely in his

control. Under those circumstances, he could do whatever he wanted.

Celine's expression was ice-cold under his perverted gaze. She paid him no mind and

turned her head to the side.

Celine seemed gentle and frail, but she had a heart of steel. She was undeniably hungry,

but she would rather starve before eating anything the b *stard made for her.

Queenie did the same, barely casting the skewers in Sergio's hold a glance.

She said in a haughty tone, "Don't bother with your disgusting tricks, you shameless man.

Let US go now, or my brother-in-law will have your head when he wakes up." 1

Queenie's exquisite features were laced with disgust and rage.

Sergio chuckled, casting a glance at Darryl. He scoffed and said, "Him? He might as well be dead. And it looks

like he's as good as useless even if he wakes up."

Then, Sergio threw the two skewers at their feet. "I'll leave those here. I'd eat them if I were you. It's going to be

a long night, and we'll have a lot of fun!"

As he said the last word, Sergio laughed loudly to himself as he walked out of the cave. He crouched next to the

fire, devouring the rabbit meat as he watched the two women.

Celine and Queenie did not budge. They did not touch the skewers on the ground.

What characters!

The corners of Sergio's mouth curled in a sinister smile.

The next second, he retrieved a bottle of alcohol, drinking as he dined with gusto. 3

It was unclear how much he had drunk, but Sergio was pretty tipsy when he entered the cave again. He pointed

at Celine, speaking haughtily, "My beautiful lady, don't bother putting on airs with me. Come on, have a drink

with me. I might just spare your life if you keep me happy."

Sergio stared intently at Celine, the haze of the alcohol made her beauty all the more mesmerizing to him.
