Chapter 5274

Seeing as it was getting late, Heather could not help but say in a low voice to Ambrose.

"Brother Ambrose, I should probably get some rest now. It's been quite a while, and the

baby might have woken up."

Heather had taken care of the child for the past few days, and she had developed a sense

of deep affection for the child in the meantime. However, it was easy for her to feel

somewhat empty without having the baby around.

At the look on her face, Ambrose chuckled. "Alright, I'll get some rest too. Let's go

together."

As he spoke, Ambrose stood to say apologetically to Chester and the rest." Uncle Zhu

Bajie, Uncle Chester, please feel free to continue. I’ve had enough to drink, so I'm going to

go back to get some rest."

As he spoke, he grasped Heather’s hand tightly in his.

Despite spending every day together and being positively inseparable, it was still not

enough for Ambrose.

After Ambrose spoke, Zhu Bajie shook his head vigorously. "Hey! How can you say you've

had enough to drink so early on at such a young age? No leaving for you. Have a few more

drinks with me. Your father isn't here!

You're going to take his drinks for him."

As he spoke, Zhu Bajie was just about to pour Ambrose another drink when Chester

stopped him.

"Brother Zhu Bajie," Chester said with a hearty grin, "Can't you tell? It's not that the boy's

drunk enough. He wants to go back to have his fun."

Zhu Bajie stopped short before his gaze fell onto Heather and Ambrose's intertwined

hands. He instantly understood what was going on and smacked his forehead.

"Haha! I see that's the case. Well then, I guess I'll let you off this time."

As he spoke, Zhu could not help but look Heather up and down appreciatively as he

marveled, "I have to say... This young man is just as lucky as his father with his love life.

You're a real beauty, lady. Perfect looks. Take good care of her, young man."

Heather's face flushed red at Zhu Bajie's teasing as she could not come up with a

response immediately.

Ambrose scratched his head, and a goofy smile appeared on his face. "I wont let my

Heater down."

As he spoke, he waved goodbye to everyone before leaving the main hall with Heather.

Once outside, Heather clutched at Ambrose's arm as her expression was laced with worry.

"Ambrose, you've had quite a bit to drink tonight. Are you feeling alright? How about I

send you back to your room?"

Ambrose chuckled at her concern. "I'm the leader of the Elysium Gate. Did you really think

I'd get drunk that easily? Come on, let me take you back."

As he spoke, he headed to the chambers at the back with Heather in tow."

Just as they reached the room, Ambrose slowed down his footsteps to gaze passionately at

Heather.

"Heather, once things with the Sea Dragon Palace are over, I'm going to have Uncle

Chester go to the Sea Mackie Clan to ask for your hand in marriage. Then, when my father

returns, we'll throw a wedding. How about that?"

Heather was overjoyed, yet her expression was bashful. "Isn't that a bit too fast?"

Ambrose chuckled. "It's not fast at all. I can hardly wait. I want the world to know the

princess of the Sea Mackie Clan is my lover, and no one can take her away from me."

Ambrose gazed at her once more as the final word rang through the air. He could not hold

back from the delicate look on her face any longer, pressing his face forward under the

guise of liquid courage.

Thump thump...

Sensing Ambrose come closer and closer, Heather felt as if her heart was going to explode

out of her chest. Her exquisite features were also as red as a setting sun as she closed her

eyes, ready for a passionate moment.

Just as the pair were about to kiss, a rustle could be heard from the room ahead of them. It

was already late at night, and the backyard was supposed to be completely silent.

At the noise, Ambrose and Heather got shocked.

"Who's there?”

The next second, Ambrose returned to his senses. He stared intently at the door, calling

out coldly. "Get lost immediately."

Heather took care of the child herself, and she had not called for the help of any servant.

Thus, there was no one in the room apart from the child.

Besides, there was no way a baby could make such a loud sound.

The only viable explanation was that someone had snuck in during the night.

Heather clutched at Ambrose's arm tightly, feeling overwhelmed by nervousness.

Someone had dared to break into the main altar of the Hidden Hero Sect.

Was the baby going to be in any danger?
