Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!
Chapter 672 - Intruder Alert!Chapter 672 - Intruder Alert!
The tutor and pupil had just ended their class and were about to make their way outside the study room when a voice sounded inside Yvonne's head.
'Master, we have intruders!' Demon's vigilant voice echoed in the child's mind which made her furrow her brows.
Marquess Samed was ignorant of what was going on in her mind as the etcher and etched were conversing through their mental link.
Thus he continued to look through the study material he had brought over for her without looking at her.
The two people, one adult and the other, a child, were about to step outside the room they had been in for the last three hours when this message from the etcher had arrived.
'How many?' Yvonne inquired as she had caught the plural form that Demon had used.
'Two,' came the prompt answer from her horse.
At this very moment, there were no men in the estate.
Her father and Uncle had not yet returned from the guild they had gone to visit and the same could be said for the four boys who had gone out to the Commercial District.
The only ones at home were her mother, aunt, and the remaining servants who had stayed behind.
Though she knew that there were secret guards watching over the entire estate at all times to ensure their safety, Yvonne could not understand how these intruders had managed to bypass their security and enter the St. Claire property.
Similarly, at the same time, Demon was informing his master of the intruders, Fryght who had been left at home was also doing the same to his master.
Earl Rutherford St. Claire was discussing certain matters with his subordinates at a location near the merchant's guild when he received a report from his trusted etcher.
This made the worried father hurry to complete the meeting and head back home with Viscount Valente who was also present here.
The four boys were unaware of the intruders who had entered the St. Claire estate and thus continued with what they were doing.

The child nodded in satisfaction as she had ordered them to step away until the class came to an end.
Jax greeted the Marquess who finally noticed that there was something wrong with the child's expressions.
"What is it?" He questioned but gained no answers as Yvonne raised her feet and headed in the direction of the main door of the mansion.
If these intruders were able to enter the estate without the secret guards noticing then they could be more powerful than the guards.
Therefore, Yvonne was worried about their motives for appearing here and hastened her pace.
'Call Fryght over.' She commanded Demon in the next moment.
In the absence of her father, Yvonne knew that this etcher could be a valuable asset during their current predicament as she had seen Fryght's true form and could make an educated guess about his true potential as well.
'He is already on guard, Master.' Demon replied and judging by his breathy tone, Yvonne knew that he too was rushing over to her side.
By now, both Jax and Marquess Samed had realized that something was wrong and began to follow her.
This group of three headed in the direction of the entrance of the mansion and upon reaching their destination, they found more people there.
Surprised to see them, Yvonne's narrowed eyes gazed at one of them in confusion.
Butler Limo, who was the first to notice their arrival, bowed to his Little Miss before reporting why they were here.
"Miss, we have a guest." He informed the news he had received from the guards keeping watch at the gates of the estate.
The child raised her head and found her mother and aunt there as well.
They smiled at her but she was more bothered by what she had heard from Demon earlier.
'Limo said guest…' She mulled over this as what she had heard from Demon was different when compared to what she had heard now.
This made her glance at Demon who stood at the front of this little group of people and found that Fryght was there as well.
A single glance at their narrowed eyes and the dangerous aura oozing from them was enough for Yvonne to surmise that her etcher had not reported wrongly.
"Why is Mother here?" She questioned the older Butler in a whisper and he was quick to answer.
"I informed the Madam about our guest and she wished to greet them." He bent forward to whisper back to her.
'Is the guest and the intruder the same person?' Yvonne wondered whether there seemed to be some misunderstanding going on here.
The two etchers were clearly hostile but her mother seemed eager for the arrival of whoever it was that had popped up out of nowhere.
While she was still in her inquisitive thoughts, the sounds of horses galloping neared their location.
Once she caught sight of the carriage headed their way, Yvonne rolled her eyes first at the emblem on it then at her etcher.
'Is the intruder inside?' She interrogated and received a positive grunt in answer from Demon.
Her earlier vigilance and worries faded into nothing the moment she obtained the answer to her query.
Now she understood why her mother seemed excited to greet this person and all she could do was shake her head.
Yvonne was still in her thoughts of how to explain this matter to her etcher when the carriage came to a halt and the door was pushed open from the inside.
Her eyes then fell on the one who stepped outside and with just one look at the flaming red hair, she could recognize who it was.
"Greetings, Countess and Viscountess." A slightly rough yet soothing voice reached her ears, similar to the one she had heard in many of her dreams.
The two ladies received his greetings and the young boy with red hair turned towards the younger child in this group.
"Greetings, Young Master Topher." Yvonne curtsied elegantly to which he gave her a nod in return.
Turning away, his gaze fell on the two obviously hostile etchers and could not help but let out a chuckle as he shook his head at them.

"Countess, my mother has asked me to hand this over to you." Topher Tanner announced before bringing out an item from the pocket of his jacket.
Countess Raylene St. Claire accepted the envelope which had the seal of the Tanner family, proof that it was an official letter between the two madams of their respective families.
However, she did not open it out here as it might contain confidential information that others could not possess.
Therefore, she handed it over to the Butler who would place it in the Earl's Office, a place not everyone could enter.
The four members of the St. Claire family and Butler Limo were the only ones who had permission to enter that room.
Therefore, it would be safe there until she had the time to open it and read its contents.
While the Countess was ordering the Butler, Topher Tanner had turned towards the two etchers.
He had met Demon many times but Fryght, only a few times.
The first was during Yvonne's assessment test when her etcher had awakened his powers and the Earl had summoned his etcher to protect everyone from the potential threat that Demon posed for the rest.
Today, he had met Fryght after a long time and found it strange that the etcher was still the same size as he was years ago.
'Is he an eternal pup?' He wondered but did not pry as there were things that he was not privy to know.
While he was staring at Fryght, Yvonne was trying to explain to her etcher that Topher Tanner was a guest and not an intruder.
'How could you make such a mistake?' She questioned and the aggrieved etcher shook his head.
'Master, I wasn't referring to him at all.' He corrected her misunderstanding as his eyes remained on the carriage that the young boy had alighted.
'The intruders are in there.' He pointed his long nose towards it with utmost certainty.
Yvonne thus turned towards the carriage before glancing at Topher, who had noticed her gaze and shot her a smile.
"Come on out now.." He ordered, making the rest look at him before turning towards the carriage door which opened once again.
