The girl stuttered, unable to string a coherent thought. Cole understood it was probably;y because of the way he had marched up, as far as stuck up rich people who didn't give a shit about what the people of the community were going through. Cole had acted in a way that no one expected, but then again this was Cole they're talking about, no one is better at being more spontaneous than him.
"So let me put all this to rest, I don't give a shit about your community or what it stands for or the fact that you bunch of people are under the impression that if you stay in front of my building and scream to the top of your voice it will stop me from achieving what I came here for.
In case you haven't heard, the world is ending. Shit much worse than 'stuck up rich people' are coming to tear your babies out of your wombs and arms and litter your bodies around the remains of your children and the remains of your children around their pets.
A terrible future that I am trying to avoid, but I cant do that if naive little girls like and the rest of the junkies, orphans, and std riddle idiots that live in this town start screaming and preventing my workers from doing what is necessary. Now please let me through, I am trying to at least make this place a safe haven, after all the apocalypse has started and whole towns and some cities around the world has been fucked up.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtDid you not hear about what happened in London, the city is under siege and elves are running amok gutting everyone that's in their way. We're lucky nothing like that has happened yet, you all should get your priorities straight, I'm trying to help make this community livable again.-"
"Yeah! For your rich friends!" someone shouted from the crowd, Cole blanched and raised an eyebrow as he asked. "Seriously?" the person gaining a muster of courage stepped forwards as he continued talking.
Cole gave him a serious look. He was about the same age as Cole, dressed in all black with a jacket that had the image of a snake spitting venom on the shoulder and back. And considering there was a small group of similarly dressed people hanging close by, Cole envisioned they were one of the small time gangs that was running amok within the community. The guy stepped up to Cole to the point that their noses were almost touching.
"Do you know who I am?" Cole asked as the guy's eyes took on an edge as he moved even closer until his forehead was touching Cole's.
"I know who you are, and superhuman or not I am not fucking afraid of some entitle brat who has no idea what it means to live the way we do, the way each every single one of us arck!"
Cole grabbed by the throat and raised him into the air. There was a clamor as he kicked his legs struggling to breath with the Protesters took a few steps back. His gang members were all already on their feet, Cole ignored them, and the guns they had pulled out.
The construction workers had quickly stepped back, not wanting to be caught in an altercation between Cole and the gangs. Funny enough it was not only a single gang that had moved as all of them had actually converged on Cole's position. With the construction workers moving back, Tehila was afforded a full blown look into the drama, and judging by the small smile on her face, she was amused.
"I am here to save you!" Cole yelled out stopping everyone in their tracks as his voice spread out, if Tehila said he should be a bad guy then that is what he would do. He'd give a monologue, after every great villain has an equally great or legendary speech.
"I'm here to finally put this school of your to good use. It would serve the purpose for which it was built, to teach, to give an education. But not the mundane nonsense that's being taught here, this is so that you all can have a fighting chance. This is so you all can finally have access to a new universe and be strong enough to take your own fate into your own hands instead of living in such pitiful squalor…..cant you see, this is a good thing!"
Cole said as he turned around with a small laugh and threw the man he was holding to the ground. Not that he needed to, but for some reason he found himself leaning into this bad guy vibe a whole lot more than he wanted to. It was a mask, but it was one that he was wearing so well and resonated so deeply with Cole.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"At what Cost?" the man that had just been thrown to the ground yelled out at Cole as he got back up to his feet and glared up at the Raen Progenitor. Cole smiled, he was offering them a way out, he didn't need them, they were in his way, but you can never tell where the Next Cole Night would come from. Humans had endless potential and capacity for both good and destruction and Cole wanted to build a force that would cow any other when the time finally came.
"the Cost is not too high for Anyone of you to pay, I will change your life, give you homes, give you jobs, make you strong to life a car and throw with just your pinky finger. And the cost, the only cost you will have to pay is one thing only…..Loyalty!"
"Let me guess…. loyalty to you." the teen with the baby said to him, speaking it as a fact rather than a question, Cole grinned at her.
"That's a given, but I have built a community of outcasts, one that would be very fitting for all of you and anybody anywhere in the world that feels like they don't belong. Your loyalty would be to that community of which I am the head, and it is a community that is connected on a much deeper and fundamental level.
Whether you chose to give it or not, as long as you have something to offer, willing to stand and fight against the darkness that is coming, and willing to do it by my side. Then that means you are Raen and we are one, to the Breaking of Worlds!"
