Chapter 374 I Think You Know
On the way to the Goldings’ villa, Jenny received a phone call from the police telling her Miller had been
charged in court and that the judgment would be released soon. Jenny was pleased with it, as she didn’t
want the man harassing his son.
She stepped out of the car with Morgan when they reached the large villa. They were greeted warmly,
likely to be the result of Morgan telling them what had happened.
Jenny and Morgan’s parents went to the study to discuss the investments while Morgan stayed in the
living room. She didn’t know much about such goings-on, after all.
An hour later, the three left the study. Morgan guessed the discussion ended well on account of the
smiles on her parents’ faces. She relaxed instantly. Finally, they would be rid of the bankruptcy

“Thank you, Jenny.” Morgan nearly bowed to her. She really didn’t know what to do to repay this favor.
Jenny smiled and waved a contract in her face. “It was a contractual agreement, not a gift.”
Plus, she benefited greatly from this investment too. She wouldn’t have gotten nearly fifty percent of
shares if it weren’t for the situation the Golding family was in. Once they were out of deep water, she’d
start earning from the investments.
“Why don’t you stay for lunch, Jenny?” Morgan suggested.
Jenny shook her head. “I still need to go to the hospital. I think you know too-I have two surgeries
scheduled today.”
“Ah…” Morgan nodded. “Alright then. I’ll see you out.”
“It’s alright. I think you can discuss with your family what to do next anyway. The Murrs might try to do
something after what happened last night,” Jenny said, then left after saying goodbye.
Morgan waited until she left before she asked her parents, “Mom, Dad, the bankruptcy issue is… dealt
with now, right?”
“Yep. This billion-dollar investment will save us from it while also helping us develop,” Jamie Golding said
confidently.
Morgan smiled. “Then my engagement to Winston Murr…”
“We’ll call it off right away,” Jamie said, expression now stern. “I can’t believe what a scum that boy is!”
The two had been infuriated upon hearing what Morgan had told them. Good thing the marriage wouldn’t
go through now.
“I don’t blame you. That jerk hid his true self too well.” Morgan might not have realized that until after the
marriage, so good thing she did. But there were still things that worried her. “They won’t try anything,

If the Murrs really did something, it might still be bad news for them while they were still trying to
regain their footing.
Jamie gritted his teeth. “Your mother and I will take care of that. We’re not scared of them!” Everything
seemed to get easier after having money. He sighed, “We really have your friend to thank this time. If it
weren’t for her…”
They wouldn’t even think twice about not letting Morgan marry into that family now that they no longer
need their help for funding. They loved Morgan too much to see her with the likes of Winston.
“I know. I’ll do my best to pay her back however I can.” Morgan nodded, silently promising to do whatever
it took to become someone useful to Jenny Walter.
