Chapter 635 That Girl Is Something Else
Zeke nodded. Without warning, his tone turned sharp as he said, "Since you've divorced, it
means you're not meant to be together. It's better to keep your distance from each other
in the future."
"Mr. Faust, this is a matter between Alec and me. You're interfering too much." She was
already angry with Alec. Hence, hearing Zeke say that only made her more furious.
"Alec is a good kid. He is a capable person who knows his limits. I have high hopes for
him, and I don't want him to be disturbed."
Zeke was not upset by Jenny's angry rebuttal. If a few words from a young person could
anger a person of his age, he would have learned nothing during all the time he had lived.
While Jenny didn't understand the relationship between Alec and the Fausts, she
understood what Zeke meant. He was telling her that she was not worthy of Alec.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt made sense to her as the Fausts were at the top of the Ten Elites in Bardoff City while
the Walters lagged. Hence, it was expected that he would look down on her family.
Nonetheless, she found it strange that he alluded that Alec would inherit the Fausts. Jenny
figured that the possibility of that was minuscule unless Zeke had gone crazy.
"I understand what you are saying. Don't worry. I'm not a person who bothers others."
The implication of her words was clear. If Alec didn't like her, she wouldn't pester him. On
the contrary, if Alec liked her, she wouldn't give up just because of Zeke's warning.
It made Zeke take a second look at her. He suddenly found her rather charming. "You
really are something, and I like that about you. I have several grandsons, all of whom are
handsome and well-behaved. Would you like to consider any of them?"
It was rare for him to be satisfied with a young person. Thus, Zeke wanted to make her a
part of the Fausts. While he wouldn't expect her to do anything for the family, at least she
wouldn't cause them trouble.
Jenny stifled her laughter. She had just told him she wouldn't bother Alec, yet Zeke asked
her to consider other members of the Fausts. She really couldn't understand what went on
in that old brain of his.
"Thank you for your kind offer. Unfortunately, the Fausts are uncharted territory that I'm
not worthy of trespassing." With a smile, she outright refused his offer.
It didn't infuriate Zeke. ’There's no hurry. You can take your time to think about it."
Jenny wanted to tell him she wouldn't consider it even if she had more time. However, she
ended up keeping quiet. Perhaps he was joking around, and there was no benefit in
offending him.
With that thought in mind, she stopped herself from saying more.
Having said all that he wanted, Zeke waved her away. "Send my regards to your father."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Alright, I'll take my leave now. Please take care of yourself, Mr. Faust." With that, Jenny
turned around and left Zeke's study without looking back.
After he left, an elderly man walked out of the darkness and patted Zeke on the back,
saying, "Mr. Faust, she's just a young member of the Walters. There's no need for you to
personally meet her."
"That girl is something else." Zeke had seen many people and could tell at a glance that
Jenny was not ordinary.
The old butler looked in the direction Jenny had left and shook his head." She's just a
youngster who doesn't understand proper etiquette and basic manners. You're giving her
too much credit."
"Perhaps that is true, but I hope she's not ordinary," Zeke said.
Frowning, Zeke asked the butler, "Do you think Alec's feelings for her are?"
"I can't tell for sure. It seems like he doesn't have any feelings for her now. However,
according to the information we've gathered, he did like Jenny a lot before." That
information was not hard to gain as many people in Parrington knew about it.
