Chapter 648 I'll Think About It
Randy flashed an earnest smile at her. "I won't do this for outsiders. My generosity is only
reserved for family, for example, my dear cousin."
She silently smirked at the remark but did not call him out. The land south of the city,
which the Glasses bid, was going to be developed into a business district. Clearly, the area
would flourish in the future. But Randy suddenly offered her a partnership in the lucrative
project they had just bagged, and it all felt odd to her.
"That’s a huge project. I need to discuss it with Dad.” More importantly, she needed to do
some investigation into the issues behind the land—there must be something. Else, the
Glass Family wouldn't have suggested a partnership.
While they were planning to acquire the Glasses' business, the Glasses might also be

Randy had no objection to her request for time. The Glass Family recently got their hands
on the land and did not start any construction, but many companies must be vying for the
partnership. He was confident that the opportunity would tempt Graham.
"There's no rush. Let's dig in." His indifference surprised her, for she had expected him to
stop her from discussing the matter with Graham.
"Is he confident we'd not find any issues with the land?" She wondered about the strategy
behind the Glass Family's move while eating.
"Jenny, what do you think of Jolene's marriage?" Randy's random question prompted her
to look up in surprise. She wondered if the Glasses' goal was to get the marriage canceled
for Jolene's sake. That sounded plausible. If the Glasses wanted to put the partnership on
the table in exchange for Jolene's freedom, Graham might actually consider the deal.
She gathered herself and replied coolly, "It's wonderful. They're in love with each other."
"Are they?" He frowned when he learned about the truth.
"Yeah. Dad and I walked in on them hugging. What else could that be if not love?" She
chuckled, amused by Randy's shallow understanding of Jolene's character.
Indeed, his expression fell when he heard Jenny's words. "They hugged? I thought Jolene
didn't like the Britt guy at all," he thought, feeling cheated. Still, he kept his cool in front of
Jenny. "Oh, if they are in love, that's even better."
"What if they were not in love? Would your family stop her from marrying Brandon Britt?
Nothing good will come out of angering Dad at this point." She glanced at him coldly as
she tested the lengths that his family would go for Jolene.
Taking her hint, he placed the cutlery on the table and leaned back into his chair. "Well, I
don't necessarily have to side with Jolene. Both of you are my cousins, and I'm cool with

She lifted a brow quizzically but said nothing.
"Jenny, why don't you consider working with my family, as I suggested earlier?" If Jenny
was willing to work with the Glasses, Randy figured they would not need Jolene. He had
always held Jolene in poor regard, thinking that she was talentless and time spent on her
would only go to waste. They had been stuck with Jolene since she was Rowena's only
daughter, but they had a choice now.
Instead of rejecting him outright, she seemed to ponder over his suggestion. "I'll think
about it. There's no harm in working with the Glasses. It's a win-win situation."
"That’s right. We're relatives too." He nodded at her. Although the two families were
related by marriage, they rarely collaborated, mostly because Graham held a grudge
against the family for forcing him to marry Rowena. Therefore, he not only did not work
with Rowena's family but also actively gave them trouble. The Glasses wouldn't have
tolerated his antics had it not been for the success of Walter Inc.
