Chapter 994 Is Jenny Kidnapped?
Half an hour later, McKenna and Derrick were in the hospital director's office.
"So, you mean Jenny disappeared from the hospital?" Gavin Porter, the hospital director,
adjusted his glasses and looked at the two incredulously.
McKenna nodded and replied, "Yes, I saw her go to the third floor with my own eyes, but
the people on the third floor said they never saw her.
Furthermore, Mr. Zeller, who was downstairs, said he didn't see Jenny leaving. Isn't this
considered a disappearance?"
"Could she have left through the back door?" Gavin asked. The hospital had a back door
specifically for medical staff, after all.
"We went to check and asked the security there too, but they didn't see her leave,"
Derrick added.
Gavin frowned, thinking that the two of them seemed to be making a fuss over nothing.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSensing what he was thinking, Derrick went on, ’Jenny's phone is now unreachable, and
her condition when I last saw her wasn't good. No matter what, we need to find her first.
What if something really happened?"
At this point, he hadn't yet considered the possibility of Jenny being taken away by
someone. He was mainly worried that she'd fainted somewhere due to her illness.
Hearing him say that, Gavin was alarmed and took the matter seriously. After all, Jenny
wasn't any ordinary doctor.
"Let's go to the surveillance room to take a look," Gavin said. He stood up immediately,
fully aware of the gravity of the situation, so he didn't dare to delay things any longer.
McKenna and Derrick followed him. They came to see him specifically to check the
surveillance footage. After all, without his permission, they could not view it.
After Gavin explained what he needed to see to the person in charge of the surveillance,
they quickly pulled up the footage of Jenny entering the elevator. They then saw several
people enter the elevator with her inside. It was unclear what they said to Jenny, but she
followed them to the basement after a brief exchange. Although they couldn't hear the
conversation, judging from the expressions of the people in the surveillance footage, it
was definitely not anything good.
In the surveillance footage of the basement, they saw Jenny and those people walking out
of the elevator. She was pushed into a black SUV, and the car drove off, disappearing from
the scope of the surveillance camera.
"Mr. Porter, does this mean Jenny has been kidnapped?" McKenna spoke up uncertainly.
She'd never seen a kidnapping taking place in real life before.
Gavin's brow was now tightly furrowed. He thought it was just the two of them making a
fuss, but he didn't expect something bad had really happened.
"You don't have to worry about this anymore. Don't go around talking about it. I'll handle
this,’ Gavin instructed as he took out his phone to make a call.
McKenna wanted to ask more, but Derrick tugged at her sleeve and shook his head at her.
"Let's go. We should leave this to Mr. Porter."
After they came out of the monitoring room, McKenna looked at Derrick suspiciously and
asked, "You're just going to leave like this? Aren't you worried about Jenny?"
"My main concern was that she might have passed out somewhere without anyone
noticing. Now that we found out she has been taken away, there's naturally no need for
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmme to worry about her," Derrick explained. Jenny was a member of the Walter family, after
all. No one would dare to harm her that easily.
McKenna thought Derrick's words made sense. "That's true. We've wasted so much time.
I'm hungry now."
"Okay, okay. What does my little princess want to eat?" Derrick said with a laugh as he led
McKenna away. Jenny's situation was out of their hands and no longer their concern.
At the same time, the Walters received the news of Jenny's abduction. Evan and Alec also
learned about it very soon and started searching for her too.
On that day, news of Jenny's disappearance spread throughout Bardoff City. Some people
were anxious, while some were hopeful; there were also those who were hiding in the
dark, ready to strike at any moment.
Jenny herself was unaware of all of this at the moment.
She was dizzy and had a headache—she didn't even know where she'd been taken to. The
scenery in front of her was beginning to blur, and she knew she would pass out at any
moment, but she kept holding on. She was afraid she wouldn't make it through that day if
she lost consciousness now.
