If one looked into Noah's prison cell, they would see a pool blood that had formed due to the blood that dripped from his fingers and toes that had all been cut off.
Noah's face remained expressionless while Vincent severed his toes. Apart from the occasional flinch, no signs of pain could be seen on Noah's face. If not for his rythmic breathing a person would think he was dead.
Noah had been subjected to almost two weeks of torture.
He wasn't sure whether it was his innate ability to quickly adapt to his environment and situation, or the useless system that had not helped him in the time he needed it most, but he had eventually gotten used to the immense pain that came with those torturous procedures.
Vincent cut his last toe off, a clicking sound resounding from his mouth. He had lost the enjoyment of Noah's torture ever since he stopped reacting to pain.
"It seems that is the last for the day," Vincent said wiping his hands of blood and pouring three potions on Noah. Normal ones this time.
Noah's fingers, toes, yanked off hair, bones and skin, regenerated rapidly, but that didn't stop him from feeling drained, mentally that was.
Through out the almost two weeks of torture, which Noah had been able to count due to Vincent's talkative nature.
Noah had gone through three rounds of torture every single day, with only about thirty minutes of rest, which was absolutely useless since he was deprived of food and water, only living on potions.
Noah's mind had gone through different stages which ranged from anger at the initial days of his torture, then regret for not heeding to elder Malachi's words and fleeing.
He also experienced a questioning stage, in which he asked himself why exactly he didn't want to join the royals, he passed that stage only because of one thing, he wanted to kill them!, badly.
And lastly a calming stage in which he planned an escape.
Vincent had also been a great source of information. The guy seemed to want attention constantly and Noah didn't mind giving it to him. He didn't have a choice after all.
Noah had come to undrestand that although the young looking man seemed to enjoy torturing people, he was only doing his job, and not because he hated Noah in any way. But that didn't mean Noah wouldn't kill him brutally if he had the chance.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAccording to Vincent, the next day, which was going to be Noah's 14th day in the cell, there would be a festival in the town surrounding Count Pedro's region of control.
But the festival wasn't held because it was an annual event, it was simply because there would be a political meeting between the count and an esteemed individual.
The most important point in the information was that Noah would be left alone in the cell, apparently to let he and Vincent rest.
Noah could only rejoice inwardly at that point. The plan he had been using a few days to put together could finally be implemented, and with the full day leave, Noah was almost hundred percent sure he would escape.
The only issue he had to worry about was the escort of tier 3's that would gather in the town to protect the esteemed guest.
But he tried his best to push that matter to the side of his mind, if his plan worked perfectly he doubted any tier 3 in the area would be able to survive.
"It seems it truly is a goodbye," Vincent's said dramatically while he walked towards the cell's exit, Noah's body being pulled up by the chains and hung, while Vincent waved his hand and the torture chair disappeared.
"I hope when I get back you give me the reaction that I want," Vincent spoke exiting the cell with a smile.
Noah watched that scene with dead eyes, all he cared about was being left alone to finalize his escape plan.
Vincent's steps on the stone floor faded in the distance, silence befalling the cell room.
After a few seconds Noah heaved a slight sigh while violent imaginations of making Vincent suffer played in his head. He shook those satisfying thoughts after a few minutes.
Closing his eyes to have the longest rest he would have in almost two weeks.
Noah was about to fall into his so rightfully deserved sleep, when he heard footsteps approaching his cell.
His eyes opened slowly, the figure of Count Pedro and his bodyguard entering his sight.
The cell's gate slid to the side allowing the two figures in.
"What do you want?," Noah asked slowly, not hiding the annoyance and anger in his voice.
"Incredible, almost two weeks and you still have that amount of fierceness," count Pedro shook his head.
"What type of monster are you," He added, Noah only glaring at him in response.
Clearing his throat after a few seconds of awkward silence, the count opened his mouth to talk.
"I simply wanted to inform you that you'll be moved out of my mansion. The royals want to take you somewhere more secure." he started.
"Vincent would still be with you, but he'll have far more resources to do what he does best," He ended with a nod of his head.
"And why are you telling me this?," Noah asked coldly.
"Just to make you understand how much the royals are willing to spend on you. You won't be left alone easily, and they would most likely succeed. So I advise you to drop your pride and just accept their offer. It's not bad at all-," Count Pedro couldn't finish his words since Noah cut him short.
"Did they send you here to tell me that?," Noah asked with pure disdain.
"No they didn't, i-," Sir Pedro was cut short again.
"I see....They aren't totally ready to spend too much on me so you were sent to try your best. Well I still disagree," Noah spoke closing his eyes.
A sigh escaped Pedro's mouth, his head shaking in the process. "If this is how you want it, then we'll play along," He said turning and walking towards the exit of the cell.
"And this move will happen the day after tomorrow, but I doubt you'll know the difference," Count Pedro announced walking outside, his figure leaving Noah's line of sight, while the bars slid back into place.
A sigh escaped Noah's mouth after a few seconds, his wrath filled eyes opening. Although he had acted tough, he really wasn't.
A sense of urgency filled his mind after the meeting, he wasn't really sure when to implement his plan. He placed his bet on a around ten hours from his current time, but he also didn't want rush it too much. He wanted it to be the right time.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmChecking the countdown on the bracelets function, Noah estimated the time period, hoping he would get it right.
Closing his eyes Noah slept. His sleep being filled with dreams, mostly of his two weeks of torture, anger even managed to seep out of his consciousness, he really wanted to pay the royals back.

Noah's eyes snapped opened, his mental waves Instantly spreading to cover the cell room. Calming down a bit, Noah scanned his environment.
His frantic awakening was as a result of Vincent's brutal way of waking him, which was by stabbing him anywhere he saw fit.
Checking the bracelets countdown, Noah saw that he had slept for almost twelve hours. He expected the day to be morning already.
A relaxed sigh escaped his mouth when he saw that no one came towards his cell.
He initially had doubts about that information, but it seemed he had been worried for nothing.
A look of resolve suddenly appeared on Noah's face, his mind moving to bring the most important instrument of his escape.
A small explosion instantly resounded a few meters in front of Noah, stone and debris falling from the roof of the cell, a floating stick appearing in lime light.
He had summoned Cudgel.
Noah didn't waste any time, he wasn't sure if there were any guards watching his cell so he kept himself on a strict one minute time limit.
Causing Cudgel to float towards his body, Noah made it float horizontally, its base touching his skin.
With that done, he also made Muillix appear on his body. What he was about to do could kill him if he didn't have extra protection, not that he was scared of pain.
According to Noah's fears, he heard multiple footsteps rapidly moving towards his cell.
Noah's eyes managed to fall on the first running guard, but before the man could do or say anything, his mouth whispered one word.
"Grow."
