Tristan remained silent.
Before he could respond, he saw Zachary standing in front of him, handing over a piece of paper. It wrote, "If you want to keep me, I need 100 million dollars in allowance every day." Tristan's lips curled into a cold smile.
Zachary claimed that he wasn't Tristan's son, and yet he was asking him for an allowance. And 100 million dollarsat that! The kid probably hadn't even seen 1,000 dollars before.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTristan answered Yvette on the other end of the call, "I'll look into it. If he's not my son, I'll return him to Kiki and apologize." After hanging up, Tristan looked at Zachary and remarked, "You've got quite the appetite. 100 million dollars a day? Can you even spend it all?" "Mister, surely it's not because you don't have money?" Tristan's mouth twitched slightly. 100 million dollars? Of course, he could cup with that.
"If I give it to you, what should you call me?" Zachary's eyes curved into a smile. "I don't answer hypothetical questions. Also, I'm hungry. I need to eat. If you don't feed me, I'll go to court and tell the judge that my father didn't givefood." Tristan was speechless. Soon, he glanced at the nanny and instructed, "Take him to eat something." He had been completely defeated. It turned out that Zachary wasn't refusing to eat to spite him; he was just playing with his toys and deliberately leaving him hanging.
Tristan felt like he'd taken a massive hit.
At Dewberry Manor, Yvette relayed Tristan's response to Kiki. "Don't worry. Once the test results cback, he'll let Zac go." Yvette had no idea why Tristan was so confident that he hadn't even considered taking Zachary for a paternity test.
"Yvvy, I should be the one comforting you, but here you are comforting me." "It's okay," Yvette replied gently. "By the way, are you staying in a hotel now?" "Yeah, my dad is so harsh. He said that if I don't agree to get engaged to Tristan, I can stay homeless forever. I'm planning to start looking for a job tomorrow." Kiki refused to believe that she couldn't find a job to support herself with her abilities. She was also an external lawyer for Yvette's company, which provided sincome, though not much. Growing up, she had always been a spendthrift. Because of that, she had no savings now.
"To be honest, I think it's a good thing that Tristan temporarily took Zac." If Tristan hadn't taken Zac, both he and Kiki would have had to stay in a hotel now. More importantly, Michael might have misunderstood that she had hidden a child.
"True, it's a bit of a blessing in disguise." The two talked for a long tbefore Yvette hung up the phone.
When she returned to her room, Xavier had already cout of the study. "Who were you talking to for so long?" Xavier asked.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmYvette had thought that he wouldn't talk to her at all today.
"Kiki. It's about her son," Yvette replied.
Xavier stepped closer. "Does Kiki live at Hexim Pass?" "Yes. Why do you ask?" Yvette looked puzzled. "Haven't you been there before?"
Xavier thought about the accurate address that the tech department had found after working all day and night. Coincidentally, it was right where Kiki lived. He scrutinized Yvette. "Are you in need of money?"
If she was, why had she refused the agreement he had arranged? If she wasn't, then how could the money have been transferred from Kiki's place? The people from the Torres family shouldn't have the guts o the capability to do something like this. "What do you mean by that?" Yvette sensed an underlying meaning behind his words.
"Nothing."
Xavier had already gotten someone to look into things. This time, e, even if it meant turning Kik's place upside down, he was determined to find the person responsible. X
