For the next few hours, Dilan's head went blank. The others were trying to form plans on how to outwit the prophecy, while he followed their commands when it came to the manifested construction of the known Universe.
He only regained his senses when the others got up from their seats.
"How about we add weekly meetings to create a more detailed plan on how to save Milarn rather than the whole Universe?" Yvonne ended up asking. She was not interested in the Universe and it wouldn't really affect her if it were to get devoured…not as long as they could make sure that everyone she cared about was safe and sound.
Even though some thought differently, it was certainly easier to think about ways to turn Milarn into an indestructible, and undevourable planet. At least that was what logic told them.
"We can do that, but why is everyone already getting up from their seats? I don't think the meeting is over!" Dilan agreed to Yvonne's proposal just to make sure that everyone halted in their tracks.
Some Ascenders realized that they had missed out on the actual reason for today's meeting and they sat down with a deep sight.
"Why? The meeting is over…or not?" Kathrine suddenly blurted out, not understanding what was going on.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"You don't care about the Sun God's threat? Well…you can leave in that case," Williams teased Kathrine, who turned red before she began to curse in a foreign language.
"This fucking bullshits…why can't I beat up this jerk, only once…Just a small beating might as well improve his personality… maybe once the bastard of a Sun God is done I can…"
Dilan began to grin looking at Kathrine. Siegfried noticed that and a small smile appeared on his face when realization struck him.
"Can you understand what my Master is saying?" He shouted out loud, attracting too much-unwanted attention.
"I learned far more languages than I want to acknowledge, and I learned the technique of a Lightning Titan…so yeah, I can understand what she said just now," Dilan answered slowly, hiding his grin with a poker face. He tried not to glance over to Williams, which worked out, fortunately.
He prevented a conflict and possibly even a battle from erupting between Williams and Kathrine.
"You…really understood what I've just said in the…wait…you learned a Lightning Titan's technique? What's the technique?!?" Kathrine asked, trying very hard to change the topic.
She blushed lightly and hid that by making it look like she was excited about Dilan's revelation.
"Don't act like a fool, Kathrine. Everyone here knows that Dilan learned the Lightning God's Fist technique from the Lightning Titan. It's an Unarmed Martial art technique… did you not listen to Dilan…or are you trying to change the fact that you said something inappropriate in a language nobody could understand, at least, before Dilan arrived?!" Yvonne's question hit the bullseye.
Kathrine groaned in frustration and her head smashed on the table, nearly breaking it in half.
"How about we get back to the main topic?" Sven interrupted while pointing at the clock that hung on the wall to his right. "We don't have too much time left until the Sun God attacks us once again. Today's battle ended with a variable he didn't expect but that is probably more reason for him to come up with a new plan and initiate another attack rather than preparation for another all-out attack from multiple directions!"
Sven thought about something and he turned toward Dilan afterward. A file consisting of a few dozen pieces of paper appeared in his hand and he slid it over the table for Dilan to read.
"The Sun God's Divinity uses the power of the Sun to increase the strength of the allies in a range of more than a hundred meters. This doesn't cost him any Mana because it's one of the passive effects of his Divinity.
Another passive effect of his Divinity is that he can deteriorate the might of most Elements by manipulating the mana all over the battlefield. This will make it more difficult for us to absorb the surrounding mana during the battle, let alone to use it in the same way we're usually making us of it!"
Sven's explanations continued for quite a while, just for Dilan to nod his head while flipping through the report. The report was mostly about the powers of the Sun God, his strength, weakness, the tactics he used for every encounter they had until now, and so on.
'Their first encounter was only three years ago. Did they settle down in the flying island only three years ago? Where have you guys been before that?'
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDilan noticed quite a few things that attracted his interest, but he didn't want to point them out, not yet. Today's meeting was supposed to be about the Sun God and ways to push him back or defeat him in the following years.
The others didn't even try to think about killing the Sun God in the next few months, weeks, let alone days.
But that was exactly what Dilan had on his mind.
If the Sun God was their only problem, they might as well remove it.
"Okay…so to put it simply, the Sun God is the only opponent we're facing right now…including the races following him, of course, right?" Dilan ended up asking when Sven finished his neat explanation of the given situation. He didn't leave out any important pieces of information, which was why Dilan knew almost everything about the Sun God by now.
Everything he had to know, at least.
"The Sun God is the only one interested in this small piece of land, mostly because it is in the middle of the territory he has already conquered," Victoria said at this moment, providing Dilan with everything he wanted to know.
"Sow how about I just kill him?" He asked quite nonchalantly, just to earn confused gazes from almost everyone but Rory, whose expression changed into a small grin.
"Huh? Kill whom?"
"The Sun God, who else?"
