When Jake found the last room of the dungeon, he had a hard time approaching because the hot air coming from it was too intense. Jake's nose began to bleed a bit more, so he knew that he would be in trouble if he didn't take the boss as soon as possible. Rushing ahead sounded the best option, even if it sounded insane.

Instead of a massive red crow, Jake felt like he was seeing a Phoenix guarding the crystal. It was very similar to the others, but aside from its size, something made the beast look more dignified in front of the other crows. Still, Jake knew that the creature wasn't much different in terms of behavior when he saw its fierce red eyes. The beast couldn't see him as anything aside from a snack.
"It is a pity. I bet that this monster would be pretty awesome if I could tame it," Jake thought. "Not like I have the skills to do so."
Regardless, Jake equipped his Freezing Longsword and then activated Cold Aura as well to help with all that heat of that part of the dungeon. He was feeling like he didn't want to even think about the power of the fire attacks of the monster. Nevertheless, Jake didn't have time to hesitate, so he entered the final part of the dungeon and dashed toward the beast.
The beast reacted fast enough to use Flamethrower on Jake while it was trying to fly, but Jake ran to the side to dodge the attack, and then he used Boomerang Shield. The shield flew in a wide arc before it finally hit the left side of the monster's head, forcing the beast to interrupt the flamethrower for a short moment. Jake frowned since the attack only caused fifty points of damage… But then he recalled the endurance of the monster and realized that it made sense.
Nevertheless, the area of the last room of the dungeon was like five hundred meters wide, long, and tall, so the boss could easily fly around while spamming its Flamethrower. As for Jake, he could only run around trying to move away from the flames and use Boomerang Shield whenever he found a good angle to attack.
When Jake combined Freezing Touch with Boomerang Shield, the boss got annoyed since a small part of its face got frozen, and he lost the double of the amount of original health. It wasn't even one percent of the total health the monster had, but it was enough to enrage the beast.
While the boss decreased its altitude, it began to fire some massive Fireballs toward Jake, and he had a hard time dodging them because they hit the ground and eventually exploded, making him feel a powerful wave of heat, even when he dodged the attacks. Still, much to Jake's surprise, the monster landed on the easter side of the room and kept firing Fireballs from there.
"What the hell…" Jake thought and then frowned.
That was weird, if anything, but Jake realized that the beast was only improving the battlefield to help itself, not to mention it was also forcing Jake to approach. Hence, the boss was confident in its fighting skills at close range.
"The nerve…" Jake thought and then turned around to face the beast. "Let's see if you can hit me with your ass that is able to fire Fireballs."
Jake dashed toward the monster and used his sword to destroy the Fireballs that almost hit him. Some explosions happened upon impact, but Jake endured them all while he was moving. Some even exploded when they barely scratched his armor, but he kept going.
Eventually, he got close enough to attack, but then the beast tried to bite off his head. Jake reacted on time to block the attack, but the beak of the monster was so powerful that Jake was pushed backward for several meters.
"Well… it wouldn't be fun if it were easy," Jake smirked, but then he got serious again when a rain of Fireballs approached him.
While sidestepping and using his sword to avoid the projectiles, Jake had a hard time approaching the monster. The creature was even worse than a machine gun that could fire shotgun rounds… if that analogy made any sense. To make things worse, the monster's mana was barely decreasing.

"I guess I can't count on that thing to run out of fuel…" Jake thought.
Jake used Boomerang Shield, targetting the eye of the monster while he was moving around, and the beast just moved its head to let its face be hit instead of the eye, but at least that gave him the moment to charge and attack. Once again, the monster tried to overpower Jake with its beak alone. Still, when they clashed, the monster flinched because Jake's power had increased… it was only natural since he buffed that attack. Regardless, he recovered first and tried to do it again, but then the beast flapped its wings, and then a powerful have of hellish hot air pushed him backward for dozens of meters. Jake also felt that his skin was burning despite his defensive buffs…
When he stopped, Jake saw some burn marks on his body… that weren't a low-level skill. It probably could burn him alive if he stays too close to those wings while they flap…
