The attack crossed North America instantly and then left the stratosphere, leaving a path of destruction in its path. It only caused damage on a line that wasn't even ten meters wide, but it turned into dust on everything in its path.

After seeing the result of his attack, Jake turned around without reacting to it and then headed to his city. He saw many people leaving the place. For them, it had been the last straw… the guild masters came to offer a truce, and their leader decimated them. The fact that it was for self-defense didn't mean a thing to them. Regardless, Jake just headed to his castle and ignored them all. The dragons were going to take over the world now, so it didn't matter where the weaklings went… they all were going to die.
When Jake entered his throne room and then sat there, he began to wonder when he got so insane… it wasn't time to do something like that, but he couldn't help but do so. At some point, he started to like that since it was kind of a reminder of when his fellow humans fooled him. That kind of memory shouldn't be erased, only contemplated again and again until the very end to prevent anything similar from happening.
Jake saw once again his first death and then opened his eyes. It was hard to know how many times had passed in the real world, but most of Myrna's friends had left already. Only she and a few others stayed behind. After assimilating all those memories, Jake only felt one thing, he had to look for that shadow and kill it. All of his other enemies had died by his hands, and he didn't see much point in doing that again… However, that shadow…
"You stayed one week in that state… you shouldn't do that. You left yourself wide open the entire time," Myrna said.
"My bad, still, I learned everything that I needed," Jake said. "It is time to move."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"What about the loot on the base?" Myrna asked.
"I changed my mind about it. That won't help me in any way," Jake replied. "Feel free to get everything."
Myrna felt that she had a debt to pay with Jake. Despite their agreement, he did a lot more and even made sure to protect her and the others. Moreover, having such an ally would be good since he was that much trustworthy. Still, while Jake didn't look much shaken by his path, he still looked insanely cold. He looked like a machine that only had a single goal, and Myrna could sense that just by looking at his eyes unfortunately before she could say anything about that. Jake teleported to another place… It was weird. Since he was traveling solo, Myrna assumed that he had problems with groups, but despite that, she felt like she wanted to be his friend. He had a weird type of charisma. Unfortunately, after that, Jake disappeared for real from everyone's radars.

Lana, Louise, Karina, and Julian arrived in that world around ten days later after Jake left. While they were a bit late, they arrived on time to see Myrna's group preparing to leave. Their preparations took a while longer, and thanks to it, they managed to find not only that group but also a demi-human who had bunny ears.
"That is a weird group…" Lana said while looking around. "Isn't one of them of that world that we visited a few weeks ago?"
"It seems so…" Karina said while looking at them and not finding any person in that group emitting bloodlust, which was weird given the reputation that humans have nowadays.
"A battle happened here…" Louise said. "I don't know if Jake was part of it, but maybe those guys can tell us."
"Do you think it is a good idea to approach them, given that?" Julian asked.
"There is only one way to find out," Louise said and then approached them. "Excuse me, my name is Louise, and we are looking for someone. He is a human like us."
"... He is a lot more popular than I assumed him to be," Myrna said while frowning.
"He? Are you talking about Jake?" Lana asked. "He has a few redeeming qualities, like his cooking skills, but I can't imagine him getting popular because of that."
"I suspected that Jake had fought alongside others, given how good he was at protecting us, so I imagine that you are his former party," Myrna said. "This girl here is looking for him as well. Unfortunately, you all are a few weeks late. He left without telling me where he was going, and I am afraid that none of you will have any clue where he will go."
"What do you mean by that?" Louise asked while stepping forward and then frowning.
"No need to glare. If you are his friends, then you are my friends as well," Myrna said. "Regardless, this will take a while to explain, so you should sit back and listen."
The group members looked at each other. Time wasn't something that they had to waste, but it seemed that things had to wait for a while. If Jake did something or something happened to him, then it would be better to listen."
Myrna explained to them how he met Jake and how they fought together against an enemy, and then what she taught him. They had a hard time believing the whole thing, but they also felt that it made sense.
"... So, he learned about his past life and didn't mention anything about it?" Lana asked. "Well, he is the type who wouldn't mention anything about his current life, but it makes sense… still, a spell of this scale… who the hell made all of these things?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Jake wondered about the same thing, and we have been thinking about that for many years," Myrna said. "We think that the being who destroyed our universe is somehow behind it or at least is related to this. We lack conclusive evidence. Jake is hard to read, but he didn't seem confused. Perhaps he has some clues about this."
"Well, he was… it doesn't matter," Lana said.
"That is true, he is a friend, and we should help him the same way he helped us," Louise declared. "By the way, who might you be?"
"My name is Arilene, princess of Zoania kingdom," Arilene replied. "I have been traveling for a while in search of the young warrior who rescued me back in them during the attack. My people and I agreed to give him a suitable reward for the help he offered us."
Arilene was a girl around Karina's age, so it wasn't hard to imagine what she was thinking. Her image of Jake was probably of a hero who saved her from certain death, even though he left her inside the bag the kidnappers tried to carry her with. Louise forced a smile, and Lana facepalmed. It wasn't Jake's intention, but it seemed that he had fooled the pure heart of a young maiden.
Regardless, Arilene sure looked like a fairy tale princess, she had that aura on her, and since she had those ears, white hair, and green eyes, one could easily imagine how popular she could be.
"Putting your gratitude aside, it seems a bit risky for a princess to be traveling around between worlds by herself," Louise said. "I heard that you are the last member of your family. Isn't it a bit reckless to do that, given your position?"
"Because of my position, I shouldn't neglect the favor that he did to us," Arilene replied.
"You should have crossed a few words to have come here faster than us…" Lana said. "You don't seem like a melee fighter, so you should be a pretty strong mage. We aren't lacking in offensive power, but it would be good for all of us if we work together since our goals are the same."
The others couldn't help but hold back their sigh. It didn't seem like Arilene was a bad girl, but Lana sure was trusting to a fault. To invite someone they barely knew like that…
"I am sorry, but before that, answer me this: Myrna said that you were members of his party, and yet you are looking for him now. What happened?" Arilene asked. "Myrna also mentioned how reliable he was as a front liner, so why you weren't fighting alongside him in the last few months?"
"Well, that is…" Lana said while sweating bullets due to the uncomfortable question.
