There was nothing wrong with his routine–Lukas was content, happy and fulfilled. So why was it that he couldn't remove Chaerin from his mind? As he passed by the bar where Chaerin's sister worked, he was tempted to get a drink.
Maybe ask about Chaerin's whereabouts or just ask if she was fine–but then someone stumbled out through the bar. It was a dark haired man and he crashed against Lukas by accident.
"Fuckfuckfuck–" the man tried to get up, but there was a weakness in his movements. Unlike most of the Vampires he encountered.
All of a sudden, Chelsea ran out of the bar and saw the two. She immediately grabbed the other man by the arm and glared at him, before her gaze flickered to Lukas.
Chelsea panicked a little and her grip squeezed tighter.
"Ow, ow, easy there you filthy–"
"Shut up. Lukas are you alright?" Chelsea asked reluctantly.
"Ugh who's that? Your runaway boyfriend?" Lukas asked.
"No, just a pesky new employee." Chelsea said.
"I see." Lukas frowned and looked at the face of the young man. He swore that there was something–
Chelsea stood in front of him, blocking the path. "So what can I do for you? What brings you around these parts? It's been awhile since we've last seen each other, haven't we?"
"Right, it was during the ceremony." Lukas said.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtChelsea froze, but nodded. "Yes… that was it. But you wouldn't have come for that reason, would you?"
"No, I'm actually here to ask you about your sister. Chaerin–how's she doing?" Lukas asked.
"You're asking that after you snuck out with the Tenebris girl?" Chelsea raised a brow.
Lukas blinked at the recognition, but nodded. "Yes, Chaerin is my–she's a friend. I care about her."
"Please don't tell me that's what you've told her." Chelsea gritted her teeth and threw a look at the man she held. "I have to take care of this… but if it's not too late, please just avoid my sister. You don't have to worry about her."
"Not too late?" Lukas frowned.
"Argh, I didn't want to ask this. I don't want to know any details at all so spare me from it, okay. But how far have you come with my sister–?"
"Woah, woah–that's a little."
"If you've done more than necessary, I'm afraid that I won't be able to help you anymore. I can't control my sister–she has her own life and choices, and… she doesn't bother me with mine." Chelsea said, averting her gaze.
"I… do you think she's at your home?"
"Tsk. You've done something haven't you?" Chelsea threw a glare at him. "Go on and check on your girlfriend!"
"Wait, what–what?" Lukas' eyes widened.
"Ugh, I'm going to take this one back, but if you can check–"
Lukas spun around and started to jog back in the same direction that he had come from. There was no way that any of this was happening–but it made it almost feel like a game at this point.
"Chaerin doing something like–?" Lukas whispered to himself. "Obsessive, fun–the obsessive can lead to yandere-like aspects. Oh fuck. Lily!"

Lily's foot stomped against the fake-Lukas and the man jumped back. Their glare was telling.
"Who are you?" Lily asked.
"Hah… who do you think I am?" 'Lukas' chuckled. "Your beloved boyfriend, aren't I?"
"Nono. That's not Lukas–you're not Lukas." Lily's fist tightened. "Stop impersonating him! Did you do anything to him? Lukas–"
"Don't turn around bitch, he's fine."
Lily assumed that the reason why she was being attacked was because she was a Tenebris. That was the only logical reason to have–she was afraid that Lukas was gonna get dragged into her mess, but this answer changed everything.
Instead, Lily's gaze looked up at the fake-Lukas and her lips pursed together.
"You… do you care about Lukas?"
"He's mine! He was supposed to be mine–so why did you have to steal him away from me? We were supposed to be together, but you must have taken him with wiles and charm, you cunning–"
Lily's expression softened slightly. A girl in love–well, not exactly.

"Don't give me that patronizing look!" Fake-Lukas ran forward, fist ready as it morphed and shifted into a sharp crystalline object.
Lily's eyes widened–it was beyond normal manipulation. She barely dodged to the side, the walls of the hallway were too small and she felt something cut across her cheek.
However, her instincts took over and she threw a quick jab across the fake-Lukas side. The 'man' crashed against the wall and bore a hole.
Lily's eyes widened. "Wha–?"
That wasn't supposed to happen, she had tried to calculate her strength and not make it too strong to not injure the person.
It was at that exact moment that the person they've been fighting about arrived. Lukas barely arrived on time to see the concentrated attack that occurred–a fake copy of him went flying over to the side of the building and into the streets.
Several Vampires halted in their tracks to see the injured Vampire.
Lukas saw Lily standing in the building safe and unharmed. Relief filled his chest, but instead of running over towards her–his legs carried him to a different direction as he pushed through the crowd.
When he arrived, the 'fake-Lukas' were still there, except for the fact that there were instances of changed coloration. His hair turned blood red, like the color of Chaerin's hair.
"Chaerin!" Lukas cried out. There was a great hole to her side and it was a grotesque sight, but it didn't stop him from drawing close to the girl.
He had always known that Lily was strong but it wasn't to the extent that she'd be able to injure another Vampire severely. Something was spilling outside.
"L…Lukas?" Chaerin weakly batted her eyes, a pale color to her lips.
Lukas didn't know what to do–until an idea formed in his head and he leaned down towards her. He exposed his arm and held it out for her. "Bite me."
