Chapter 109 Slaughtering The Horde
Villain Ch 109. Slaughtering The Horde
The group took a moment to prepare themselves for what was to come. Allen activated his Demonic Aura, the air around him turning darker and thicker with each passing second. He could feel the power coursing through his veins. The girls stood beside him, readying their weapons and spells, eyes darting around as they tried to anticipate where the attack would come from.
The smell of decay grew stronger, almost suffocating in its intensity. It was an eerie sensation, as if the dungeon itself was alive and breathing, watching them with a cold, unfeeling gaze. The sound of heavy breathing echoed through the cavernous space, sending shivers down their spines.
The footsteps grew louder, each step making the ground tremble beneath their feet. They could hear the orcs growling and snarling, their voices filling the air like a chorus of angry beasts. The red eyes glinted in the darkness, reflecting the faint light of their torches like fiery orbs.
Before long, several shadows emerged from the darkness, the group could see the figures of the undead orcs emerging from the darkness. These were not ordinary orcs. Their skin was a sickly shade of purplish-black, and their eyes glowed with an eerie red light. In their hands, they held rusted axes that had surely seen many battles in their past lives.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe undead orcs let out a low, guttural growl. Their movements were slow and lumbering, but their strength was evident in how they easily swung their axes. The stench of decay grew stronger as they drew nearer, making it difficult for the group to keep their focus.
Undead Orc <Level 54>
Not only them but there were also other monsters by their side. The latter were more eerie to look at. Their bodies were nothing but large skulls, devoid of any flesh or muscle. They held swords and shields in their bony hands, ready to strike at any moment. The rusted swords were covered in moss and appeared to be fragile, but the group knew better than to underestimate them. These undead creatures were surprisingly agile, and their movements were precise as if they still possessed the skills they had in their past lives.
Skeleton Orc <Level 55>
The monsters' gazes were fixed on them, and they could feel the weight of their presence bearing down on them.
Allen could feel the tension rising in the air as the monsters closed in on them. He wasn't sure of their exact number, but he knew they were outnumbered. It seemed like they had just walked into a trap and were now surrounded.
Bella's heart raced. She swallowed hard, her throat dry and constricted. Her gaze flicked nervously to her teammates, hoping to find some reassurance in their faces, but Alice was already shaking her head from side to side.
"Guys... I think we are in big trouble," Bella finally managed to say, her voice quivering with fear.
Alice nodded, her expression grim. "Very big trouble," she muttered under her breath, not bothering to turn to face the others.
Meanwhile, Allen remained calm, his face betraying no sign of panic. He had been in this situation before, countless times in other games. He had faced down countless hordes of monsters, each more terrifying than the last.
Allen's voice was calm and controlled as he addressed the group. "We need to prepare our area skills. But I don't want us to attack all at once. Let's take turns and keep the orcs at bay."
Bella looked at Allen, her eyes wide with worry. "What if they overwhelm us?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"We won't let them," Allen replied firmly. "We stick to the plan and work together. Bella, I want you to get ready with your firewall skill. Alice, Shea, and Jane, you'll take turns using your area skills as our defense. Don't let them get closer. The rest of us will attack together."
The girls nodded, and Allen could see the determination in their eyes. They were ready for whatever the orcs could throw at them.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe orcs let out a deafening roar as they charged toward Allen and his team, like a swarm of ants descending upon a mound of sugar. The sound reverberated throughout the cavernous dungeon, causing the very ground to tremble beneath their feet.
Their numbers seemed endless, as they rushed towards the group with wild abandon. Their bloodlust was evident in their glowing red eyes, and their weapons glinted in the dim light of the dungeon.
"Now!" Allen commanded.
Bella's hands glowed with a bright red aura as she summoned her Firewall skill. With a deep breath, she waved her hand, causing a fiery barrier to erupt in front of them. The firewall flickered and crackled, casting an orange glow across their faces.
Indeed, it did good damage to the orcs and bought the group more time. But the orcs were relentless, charging at them with reckless abandon. They slammed into the wall of flames with such force that it shook the ground beneath their feet. The sound of their howls and grunts reverberated off the walls of the dungeon, creating an eerie and unsettling atmosphere.
And of course, Allen knew the firewall wouldn't last long if they didn't push the orcs back. So he needed to act.
Allen narrowed his eyes. Dark energy swirled around him, coalescing into fifty sharp lances of black energy that appeared around him. With a quick motion, he launched the lances forward, cutting through the air with a faint whistling sound.
The lances struck the first line of orcs, tearing through their bodies with ease. The orcs roared in pain, their blood splattering across the ground as they stumbled backward, clutching their wounds.
Meanwhile, Larissa stepped forward, her eyes glowing red as she summoned her own power. Blood flowed from her palms, forming into a pair of razor-sharp blades that glinted in the dim light of the dungeon.
Zoe's tentacles wriggled like angry snakes as they attacked the orcs that managed to get past the fiery barrier, coiling around them like deadly vipers and squeezing them until their bones cracked. Meanwhile, Vivian's whip lashed out with a sharp crack, slicing through the air and landing with precision on the orcs' flesh, leaving deep cuts that ooze dark blood.
