| Chapter 0581 Hansel's face darkened. "What does this have to do with you?" Sam spread his hands, shrugging. "Nothing at all; I was just curious.

"Quite the coincidence, though-your new girlfriend also happens to be studying at Bedford College, syear as Miranda, sfaculty, smajor. You sure know how to pick them.” Hansel sneered. "What's this? You're so fixated on someone else's girlfriend that you're getting a taste for it?" Sam laughed, unable to hold back. "No need to be so defensive. We were friends once, you know. Just looking out for you." Hansel smirked, his expression laced with mockery. "Looking out for me? Or fishing for information? Only you know the answer," "Oh, you caught on?" Sam didn't deny it and gave Hansel a once-over. "Honestly, I think you found this new girlfriend of yours a bit too fast, like it's all for show." Hansel scoffed. "Show, play-think whatever you want. Just don't block my way." Sam raised an eyebrow, genuinely uncertain if Hansel was serious. "So this is all a performance for Miranda, isn't it?" Hansel gave a cold laugh, not bothering to argue. "Like said-believe what you want." Sam's expression turned serious. "Didn't you swear to win Miranda back? What's with the sudden interest in someone else?" "Are you interrogatingnow?" "Just curious." "I'm not obligated to satisfy your curiosity." Sam's gaze narrowed. "What exactly are you up to?" "Oh... you're rattled? Sam Cooper, it's surprising to see you worried for once. If I can't win Miranda back, what makes you think you stand a chance? "You're just naive! I've just woken up to reality a step before you, and happened to find the right person, so save your pointless probing." "Really? You're giving up for that Willow or whatever?" Hansel's expression turned icy. "Considering your track record, I don't want to hear my girlfriend's nfrom your mouth again. Is that clear?" Sam could tell he wasn't joking-Hansel was clearly protective of Willow.

And when Miranda was mentioned, Hansel's expression didn't shift. There were no cracks appearing. It was as if he truly had moved on.

After a beat, Sam said with a leveled tone, "Just kidding, don't take it so seriously." 1/2 +25 BONUS Chapter 0581 Hansel scoffed. "Sparethe act. Think I don't know what's going through your head? Sorry, you'll be disappointed." Sam crushed the end of his cigarette as it burned out. He then opened his car door and sat behind the wheel. "Later then." He floored the gas and sped off.

Hansel stood there, watching the car disappear, his expression cooling into one of disdain. Only he knew how NOV mych restraint it took not to punch Sam squarely in his smug, irritating face.. He tried to play him? As if! Meanwhile, inside the car, Sam steered as a cold smile creeped across his face. Well, well, Hansel was playing that card now.

The act was convincing enough and almost had him fooled too. But in the end....

Hansel had slipped up.

Someone who truly moved on wouldn't drape an arm around a new girlfriend and parade her in front of an ex, nor initiate a conversation. From the moment he saw Miranda in that little restaurant and walked over with his girlfriend in tow, Hansel was already exposed. 34°F 2024 Holiday Season: Track the Latest Snowfalls & Cold...
