King Jonathan bent down and grabbed a tiny rock. He tossed it to the middle of the room and instantly went into a defensive position.
He crossed his arms, ready to use Golden Wall.
Isaac took cover behind King Jonathan. They watched as the pebble landed on the ground and rolled across the room.
Soon, they noticed that nothing was happening.
''Maybe the weight wasn't enough?'' King Jonathan made his own conclusion.
They didn't rush and carefully examined every nook and croon of the room. Soon, more Players appeared. Everyone that arrived from the dimly lit path looked disheveled and tattered.
King Jonathan whipped his head around and saw several of his subordinates appearing with exhausted looks. He went toward them and began whispering about what they had learned about the room so far.
Ten minutes later, the place was already quite crowded. Most of the Core Members of the Black Arrow Guild had already gathered. They stayed in their own group, not planning to discuss the test with anyone else.
Isaac moved his hand on the rough ground and thought this was strange. There wasn't any clue or seemingly any traps. It was completely different from the first two tests.
That gave him another idea, was the third room really a test? The test could be behind a large door.
The Players were getting irritated and impatient. Few eyes were locked on the white-haired youth, and they began discussing with their friends. A dangerous glint reflected from their eyes.
Soon, one of them shouted, ''Wraith should go first— he is immortal after all!''
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAll discussions died down, and again, all eyes were on Isaac.
Isaac frowned and turned around to see who spoke. Once he saw the culprit, he grimaced. The person was Oxwell. He somehow managed to crawl through the third test. He only followed everyone else during the first test and used everyone as a meat shield in the second.
He was gathered among his friend and his group, which had several people missing. Even Black Arrow had a few Core Members that didn't survive the second test.
Each group had at least one.
King Jonathan snapped, ''If you are so impatient, you should go by yourself!''
Oxwell flinched and hid behind his friend. King Jonathan was the only person he truly feared. He was, after all, a player in the top 100 of rankings!
King Jonathan was currently the strongest person in Stronglord and also widely respected.
However, few didn't respect King Jonathan's authority. Isaac was about to stand up but was pushed toward the room by a few burly men.
''You are immortal. You should try!'' Their reasoning was such. Their eyes showed evident ruthlessness.
Then, a green-robed man slapped their hands away. Darth stopped before them and made the burly men take a step back.
Isaac looked at the back of Darth's head. However, his feet were getting closer to the tiles. He was almost sure that there weren't any traps.
'Listen to your instincts…' Isaac's vision swam through the room. His ears were riddled with the sound of arguments. Then, when the argument was about to get more heated.
Isaac leaped forward, his clothes fluttering around him. King Jonathan widened his eyes in shock, and so did everyone else.
Darth whipped his head around and screamed. What was he doing?!
Everything became silent as Isaac's feet got closer to the ground.
Thud!
Isaac's knees bent down after landing on the ground. His eyes showed star patterns, and he was ready to use his skill if he chose wrong.
The place became quiet. The only sound came from the pebbles rolling on the ground and players unable to hold their breath in.
Isaac straightened his back slowly. He looked around, and his lip slowly curved upward.
He took another step forth, and nothing happened. Soon, he leisurely walked and reached the large door.
Then, he touched the door and tried to push it open. However, it didn't even move an inch. Soon, more players walked across the room after Isaac ensured there weren't any traps.
However, they weren't helping him open the door. Isaac gritted his teeth and put both of his palms on the door. His muscles rattled, and veins protruded. However, he couldn't move the hefty door, even a centimeter.
Soon, he stopped trying and removed his hands from the door. Isaac turned around and saw the players idling around.
His eyebrow twitched as he angrily asked, ''Are any of you planning to help me?''
The Players looked at each other. None of them had any intention of helping. They thought that there might be still traps ahead.
Then, King Jonathan brushed past the players and smashed his palms on the door. It didn't move an inch, but he kept gritting his teeth and pushing forward.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe rooted his feet on the ground, getting more stability, and did another strong push.
This time, the door let out a sound of creak.
Isaac placed his palms on the door and began pushing forth. Soon, more players arrived. At first, it was Golden Crown members. Shortly afterward, Black Arrow members did the same.
From the sea of players, Kizone appeared with his expedition team that had been reduced to only four members.
He, the Medic, Archaeologist, and a person with unique class. They stopped in front of the large door and began pushing.
The door began opening slowly. They could already see a room behind the door from a tiny gap. It was dimly lit, but they could tell it was a large room.
''P-Push!'' King Jonathan screamed. There were around thirty players pushing, and that alone made the door open only slightly.
There were over a hundred players doing nothing. But, soon, they had enough of waiting and began pushing as well.
That gave a much-needed boost, and soon, the door was wide open.
''Haah!'' Isaac let out a deep breath and almost collapsed on the ground. His body was drenched in a sweat, and he debated whether this was what the other players wanted.
For them to waste all their energy reserves.
The dimly lit room began having a shimmer of light. Soon, the whole room became visible. Everyone felt refreshed. Then, they saw a large man sitting on top of a throne.
The large man stood up slowly. His red eyes scanned through them all, which caused everyone to take a step back.
It was almost an instinctive reaction.
