Chapter 205 Leaving Mystic Forest, Arrival In The Spirit Realm, Shocking Discovery!Chapter 205 Leaving Mystic Forest, Arrival In The Spirit Realm, Shocking Discovery!
After Alister and Zanna left the Mystic Forest, Zanna felt a sense of foreboding as she noticed that the outside of the Mystic Forest wasn't as it used to be.
Although that was to be expected since Zanna had been staying on the Mystic Forest's edge for ten thousand years and the landscape around the Mystic Forest was bound to change, Zanna felt that it was something beyond that.
Maybe it was because she left the Mystic Forest after ten thousand years of seclusion and she wasn't used to the outside world, Zanna didn't want to take any chances and didn't hide her uneasiness and revealed it to Alister.
"Alister, can we teleport to the Spirit Realm first? I have a sense of foreboding that something bad had happened to the spirit race."
Hearing Zanna's words, Alister didn't hesitate and immediately agreed, "Sure. I don't care where I go as long as it is with you."
After kissing Alister and thanking him, Zanna immediately activated her teleportation magic on a saved coordinate in the spirit realm.
The spirit realm was a secret space that was separate from the world but was still connected to the world of Fantasia.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtBy the use of a grand magic spell, Zanna had built the spirit realm and relocated the spirit race there to avoid any conflicts from the outside world. However, just as a grand magic spell could create the spirit realm, a relatively powerful grand magic spell could also be used to intrude into the spirit realm.
Normally, the gateway between Fantasia and the spirit realm could only be created by the royal family of the spirit realm. On normal occasions, Zanna wouldn't have to worry about any invasion since even if it did occur, the spirit race would tell her about it by using a distress signal that she had left for the spirit race.
The top powerhouses in major races were aware of her existence so even if they coveted the elemental spirits, they couldn't do anything unless they wanted to offend the secretly strongest existence in Fantasia.
Other major races especially the elf race would sign contracts with the elemental spirits so that they could use the elemental spirits as their summons. But most of those contracts signed were equal which wasn't a problem in itself but those major races were greedy for more.
They wanted to enslave the elemental spirits yet Zanna's existence prevented them from doing so.
Alister was well aware of those since Zanna had told him about all of her notable experiences and even the information and history of this world.
On normal occasions, Alister was certain that there shouldn't be any dangers that the spirit race had faced. But he was also aware that there wasn't anything absolute in this world.
The Goddess of Fantasia herself had added a lot of unpredictable variables to the world of Fantasia.
Not only Zanna, but after Alister heard from Zanna that she had a foreboding that something bad would happen, Alister also started to feel a bad premonition.
It was all due to Alister recalling the existence of the demon king and heroes in this world.
'The name of this world coined by the system was Hero And Demon King Fantasy World. Such as the Zombie World being the central focus while the Transcendent World had transcendents, the Hero And Demon King Fantasy World meant that the heroes and demon king possessed a much greater role in this world than I have expected.'
'Although Zanna had mentioned the previous generations of demon kings and heroes in this world and there were some cases where the heroes failed to defeat the demon king, I presume it's a much worse case than that.'
'Speculating wouldn't get me anywhere and it's best to see the situation in the spirit realm first.'
When those thoughts flashed in his mind, Alister was teleported to the spirit realm along with Zanna after Zanna had activated the teleportation magic spell.
Unlike the lush scenery of the spirit realm filled with various fauna and flora that Zanna had described to him before, what Alister saw was nothing but barren land.
Instead of green plains of tall grass, the ground was hard soil with a rocky surface, unsuited for vegetation.

But that wasn't what really stood out. What stood out the most were various metal cages engraved with grand-level magic spells placed around the huge fortress in abundance. Inside those metal cages were beautiful girls and handsome men but their hands and legs were chained while they wore slave collars around their necks.
Seeing her people locked up in cages and were reduced to slaves as if they were animals locked up in a cage, Zanna was undoubtedly infuriated!
But after Zanna recalled the grand-level magic spells engraved on the metal cages and slave collars, she regained her composure and became more level-headed.
With concern for her people, Zanna knew that the only one she could turn to for help was none other than Alister.
With a voice filled with worry, Zanna asked, "Alister, can you negate the effects of those magic spells and slave collars? I can destroy it with my chaos magic spells but I worry that destroying those slave collars would kill them."
Accompanied by a nod, Alister replied, "Can."
Seeing that Zanna was eagerly looking at him, Alister treated that as her signaling him to free the elemental spirits so he started operating.
Activating his I Am Unseen (Red) talent, Alister flew up to a high altitude where he could see all of the stacked-up metal cages surrounding the huge fortress.
But when Alister was viewing everything from up above, he could see that there was an otherworldly aura in the interior of the huge fortress. It was quite powerful as it possessed a power that was even stronger than the Grand Monster in the Mystic Forest from Alister's estimation.
'This otherworldly aura… Is it perhaps one of those heroes?'
