Chapter 867 Liz thought to herself that Remington was probably still catching up on sleep, so why not let Jerhave breakfast first? She could always prepare another one for Remington later.
Little did she know, from the hospital room's window on the third floor, Cedric was watching over the scene below. Catching a glimpse of Liz, he cheerfully turned to the anxious man beside him and said, "I see Mrs. Dashiell! She'll be up in no time. Told you Mrs. Dashiell wouldn't just leave and not cback to check on you!" Remington, with a slight press of his lips, replied, "I never doubted that. She would never just leavehanging." Cedric, puzzled, thought, "Then who's the one who's been so restless, asking about Mrs. Dashiell over and over again in just a short while?" But, just two minutes later...
"Where is she?" "Maybe the elevator's too busy this morning." "We're just on the third floor!" Even if Liz had taken the stairs, she should've been here by now.
"Maybe Mrs. Dashiell didn't think of taking the stairs." Five minutes later...

As Cedric made to leave, Remington frowned and asked, "When you saw her, was she alone or was there someone with her?" "Well... it seemed like there was a man in a suit with Mrs. Dashiell." Cedric, realizing something, saw Remington's handsface darken, his voice cold as he ordered, "Go check if Jerhas been discharged." Cedric left and returned shortly, visibly trembling, "Sir, Mrs. Dashiell... she went to visit Mr. Madden." Remington's hand, resting by his side, clenched suddenly. Instinctively trying to get out of bed, he moved his legs too swiftly, a wave of pain washing over him.
His face paled as he struggled to stand, leaning on the nightstand, an embarrassing sight.
Cedric rushed to his aid, his face contorted as if in pain.
He suddenly thought that the president's plan might not have been the best.
However, Remington shook him off, standing on his own and stubbornly hanging the IV drip on a mobile stand, pushing it as he moved forward, an air of coldness surrounding him.
en Cedric, knowing better than to provoke him further, retreated to a corner, sighing.
But before Remington could leave the room, a surprised and displeased voice cfrom the door.
"Where are you going? Why aren't you resting properly?" Remington looked up to see Liz stepping in quickly.
Cedric breathed a sigh of relief, yet tensed up again, thinking that after the president's display of jealousy, he was surely going to lash out at Mrs. Dashiell. But then, in the next second, Remington extended his hand towards Liz, "Liz, I thought you weren't coming." He looked just like a child who had been left behind.
Cedric, speechless, thought there was nothing more to see here.
