| have found a nice routine for the competition and | manage to stay within the seven hours | am allowed. to
have the device of, it is a good thing | don’t need that much sleep. It allowsa bit more freedom to walk
around the Pack without the device and that means no one knows | am still in the competition, | can’t wait for
Donovan and Gibson to find out | took them out of the competition.
Dad walks into the kitchen as | pull the rewards from my backpack and | see confused looks when | place knife
and a necklace on the table as well. | tell them who it belongs to, how I got it from them and why | gave myself
an extra challenge. We are all laughing our asses off as we try to imagine how their morning

“The one legged King gave this to his Mate on the day they were crowned King and Queen.” Dad says as we all
take a good look at it. | doubt many people will have a chance to see it up close and personal and right - now |

“This is where | am going tonight, | hope | won't find anything disturbing there or I might commit murder. | just

into trouble.” | answer him.
We are in the middle of dinner when Dad linksthat Alpha Brad is on his way, | place the device in my room
before | sit down at the table again and we talk about last night’s patrol when Alpha Brad shows up. “Zalia, can |
have word?” He asks and he gestures forto walk with him, “I'll keep your food warm.” Gala says as | walk
away with Alpha Brad.
“Zalia, | am sorry for what Donovan did to you. | had hoped that his upbringing was enough to show him. that
our way of living is better than what sPacks teach their Pups, but it didn’t go as we had hoped and now you

them if he did?” | ask her and | see four confused faces looks at me, but | tell them I will explain it the next day.

For now | need to concentrate on the competition and aking out the future leadership of Dark Moon Pack. Luckily
Dark Moon Pack is right next door, | have seen their patrols enough to know their strengths and weaknesses and
| will use that to my advantage. | lave visited Dark Moon Pack with Dad and | know my way around the Pack-
house, | would always wander around to avoid their future leadership.
Josh, the future Alpha of Dark Moon Pack, is an asshole He never passed up an opportunity to touch me
inappropriately and | clocked him on multiple occasions because of it, but it never seemed to register with him
that | wasn’t very appreciative of his attention.
If | can take him out while he sees it | will be happy, | might take him out the way | took out Luke and | decide to
start with his Gamma. Josh will be the last one to be taken out of the competition and | will enjoy the look on his
face when he realizes he got killed by a female, something he will hate with every fiber of his being.
It is nearing midnight when | walk to the border with Hestia, they will run this side of the border to keep an eye
out for the competition and | willamake this a very good trip. It doesn’t takelong to reach the Pack-house
and | climb in a tree not far from the Pack-house to keep an eye on the lights, | have barely settled down when
all hell breaks loose.
Several Pack-members run out of the Pack-house, sof them covered in blood while the others support them.
| hear mighty roars coming from inside and a Wolf comes crashing through a window to my right, followed
closely by a Lycan jumping after the Wolf. “What the fuck is going on here?“Twilight asksas we see a huge
Wolf jump out of the Pack-house as well.
“That would be Alpha Roland, but | have no idea what is going on here.”| respond as | follow Alpha Roland with
my eyes. | stay put in the tree, if | were to get out of the tree now one of them might kill me. The Luna runs out
of the Pack-house followed by a young female, but | know she isn’t related to the Alpha and Luna of Dark Moon
Pack.
“She is a Lycan“Twilight states and | understand that the Lycan chasing the Wolf is related to her, his aura
indicating that he is an Alpha. Warriors crunning to the Pack-house and within seconds they form a Barrier
between the Wolf and the Lycan, but it takes Alpha Roland's roar to make the Lycan back i
“Josh made it clear he doesn’t want your Daughter as his Mate.” The Luna calls out and | am surprised that Josh
would turn down the female next to his Mother. | keep watching the scene in front ofand | know | need to
wait this out before | can make a decision on what to do next, this can end in seconds or it can
take hours.
Alpha Roland shifts back to his Human form and | am grateful for the Omega that hands him sshorts, “Shift,
Alpha Cameron.” He shouts and | almost cuss out loud, Alpha Cameron might be the Alpha of a small Pack but he
is a force to be reckoned with.
After he shifts to his Human form one of his own men hands him a pair of shorts. “You said he would take her as
his Mate, that she would bechis Luna.” Alpha Cameron says, but Alpha Roland is shaking his head. “I never
said she would bechis Mate, | did say she would be his Luna and the Mother to this Pack’s heir.” Alpha
Roland responds.
“Okay, what the hell. How can she be his Luna and the Mother to his Heir, but not be his Mate?” | ask Twilight
and she tellsto keep listening. Alpha Cameron asks Alpha Roland the squestion and | am really hoping
he will answer the question out here, | would really like to know the answer. It just doesn’t make sense toand
| can’t seem to wrap my head around
Josh has found his Mate, they are already marked.” Alpha Roland says and now | am even more confused. “Josh's
Mate is a male and that means he needs a female that can carry his heir for them and take on the role of Luna.”
He finishes and if Alpha Cameron is going to kill them I will support him all the way, this is
