Chapter 191: Every pot has a matching lid

I blinked as | took a deep breath.

"Sam, I'm not asking you to just marry me, I'm asking you to hold my hand as we begin a new chapter of our

lives... the one that's titled forever, so... Samantha Soriano, will you marry me... again?"

Tears welled up around my eyes as | nodded and waited for him to put the ring on my finger. As | watched him

slowly put the diamond ring on, | felt a mix of different emotions in my chest... There was so much joy and

excitement and nervousness and a little bit of fear that I just couldn't help. | felt so happy that | began to wonder

if I was allowed to have so much happiness at that moment or if | was allowed to be that happy.

But when | looked into his eyes and saw his emotions mirror my own, relief washed overas | cried. | guess

everyone who knew my story from the very beginning would understand how | feel.

Loving this man, | guess has been the one constant thing in my life... to say I've been through hell, but that

hasn't even lessened or disappeared.

It's truly been a rollercoaster to get to where | am now...how far my love for him has gone and where our

relationship has gone. From a teenager who was madly in love with him and has now bechis wife... for the

I've already done everything | can to forget him and move on over the past few years of not seeing him, but

what | don't understand is why every tour paths cross, that sfeeling | used to hide and bury deep in the

corner of my heart will appear and huntdown again.

| know others may think that I'm such a fool and stupid because once again | have accepted, forgiven and even

given a second chance to the person who made my life miserable for a long time, but what can | do if after all |

did to forget him and stay away from him, my heart still aches for him? And no matter how | tried to keep my

ignored him as | kissed back my now fiancé... for the second time.

"Eherm! Letjust remind you in case you have forgotten that your daughter is watching!"

And that's what made my eyes widen and pushed Luke a little as | realized Cali was there watching us. Due to

excitement, it slipped out of my mind that | have a daughter watching a few steps away.

"Cali, chere, baby," Luke called her and she happily obliged and immediately ran toward our direction.

Luke kissed her on the cheek before carrying her into his arms.

"Can | get a kiss back?" He asked and she giggled before giving him a loud kiss on his cheek. "Do you agree if

mommy and daddy get married? Do you allow Dad to take care of you and Mom now and in the future?"

"Yes!" her simple and short response and she didn't really need to speak anyway as her eyes sparked with real

happiness and excitement.

"Then, will you be my maid of honor on our wedding day?" | asked her and her eyes widened as they lit up in

surprise.

"Yes, Mommy, although | don't understand what that means, but yes, | want to be your maid of honor!"

And that answer drew a bunch of laughter from all the guests including us.

Luke held my hand and pulledcloser so he could hug us both.

Well... | guess... maybe that's what fate wants to show me... that despite everything that has happened or

despite everything that will happen, when someone is destined for you, fate itself will make a way for you to

meet and be your paths cross... whether you know each other or not, whether you have been through something

or not... if you meant to be together, no matter what happened, you are truly meant to be together forever... just

like us.

Indeed. Every pot has a matching lid. | was just too excited then and rushed to find the lid that was for me. If

only | had known or had realized that Luke Marcuz Williams was the only one I'd be with in the future and for the

rest of my life, | wouldn't have been a fool chasing him and trying to seduce him back then.

But, on the other hand, if | was given the chance to talk to the 16-year-old me, maybe would tell her to just keep

doing what she's doing and not be afraid of getting hurt and making mistakes because one day, all the things

she has done will produce good and more than she expected. | will also tell her not to give up on her dreams and

the trials of life.

She should be strong because life has so many hardships installed for her, but she need not worry because these

are just sof the ways God strengthens her and enables her to achieve whatever she will becin the

future.
