Chapter 359
George looked at him, his face all cool and detached.
That stare of his could chill everyone to the bone.
Danny hesitated briefly before responding, “Okay, | know who you mean now.”
George, unable to easily let things go, pulled out his phone again only to find it still showing no updates.
“Hey Danny, can you take your phone outside and see if you get any service?”
George asked, his tone still frosty.
Danny stepped outside with his phone, saw the 5G connection, and frowned.
They were in a top-tier VIP ward that costs a fortune for a single night's stay. No way there shouldn't be any
signal here.
Plus, they had just been using a laptop for a meeting with no problem. So, there's no way for the phones not to
work.
“Cough, Mr. Tate, we've got full bars here, so the signal's not the issue. Maybe Ms. Milly just left the hospital and
is swamped with stuff at home, so she hasn't had a moment to call you.” Danny was trying to keep it simple.
George's usually calm face instantly knit together with concern.
Danny shivered more. “Should | contact Ms. Milly for you?”
Before George could even get a word out, Scarface burst in, saying, “Boss, we've got trouble. The Ghost Sect
claims they've kidnapped your girlfriend, and they're daring you to cafter her. | followed the breadcrumbs
they dropped and even snooped around the Burnetts’ place, and it checks out - Ms. Milly's the one they've
taken.”
George and Danny's faces dropped in unison at that bombshell.

“Why would the Ghost Sect suddenly go after Ms. Milly?” Danny couldn’t help but wonder out loud.
The situation with the Ghost Sect taking someone.
It's more complex than it seems!
The Ghost Sect isn’t exactly familiar with Halturia, so how did they kidnapped someone here? And we're not
talking about anyone but Mr. Tate's special someone!
Then it hit Danny, his face going all shades of white. “What if it's that person we let go that time?”
He started putting the pieces together, and George was getting it right there with him, too.
Without wasting a moment, George yanked the IV off his hand, letting the blood drip, and swiftly change his
patient gown. “Danny, get the car ready!”
Watching in disbelief, Danny stepped in front of George. “Mr. Tate, you're not in tip-top shape to leave the
hospital. Letand screw grab Ms. Milly and bring her back safely to you.”
George gave him a look that could freeze fire, a dangerous glint in his eyes. “Since when do | need your
approval?”
Danny tripped over his words, “I ... “
George cut in, “This is somewhat my fault. If | hadn't let that person walk free, Milly wouldn't be in this mess.
And the Ghost Sect has it out for her because of me. If | don’t step in, she could be in real danger. Her safety is
my priority.”
Seeing George so set on going, Danny had no choice but to back down, quickly getting Scarface to call a couple
of doctors to assist them.
Lucky for them, the Ghost Sect aimed to bait the Shadow Palace Master with this stunt, so they didn’t hide their
location. Finding them was going to be a piece of cake.
So, George set up a shop in this fantastic place called Shadow Palace, and its main base is in Nlirone. But this
taround, thanks to snasty injuries, a bunch of George's crew, including Scarface, made their way over
to Halturia. George didn’t trust the Ghost Sect, so he pulled together every mercenary he could find to tag along.
And talk about a crowd - more than a hundred of them!
They even rolled up with ten trucks!
With this kind of massive entourage, they weren't just showing up - they were ready to throw down, even if it
meant going head-to- head with the Ghost Sect’s main
headquarters.
Upon arriving at the specified address, they ran into another army set up right at the entrance.
This wasn’t just any group - it looked like over a hundred folks decked out in special forces gear, loaded with
guns and ammo, and rocking the latest tech.
They looked like they could be part of Halturia’s military.
Danny, who was in the car, could hardly believe his eyes. Who on earth could
mobilise an entire elite force on such short notice for something that seemed like a private matter.
It didn’t add up that the Burnetts could pull off something like this.
Even Andrew, if he wanted to help, would have to jump through hoops with paperwork and wait forever for
approval.
So, who were these guys?
George saw the opposition and coolly took off his golden mask, showing his face.
Danny was shaken. “Mr. Tate, you...
George nonchalantly tossed his mask beside him and told Scarface to stay put.

Then, he stepped out of the car.
“Master!”
Scarface wanted to follow, but Danny stopped him. “Don’t forget what Mr. Tate said.”
Scarface looked worried. “But who's gonna have Mr. Tate's back if I'm not there?”
Danny reassured him, “Don’t sweat it. We've got a whole crew with us. Mr. Tate will be fine. Just stay here.”
It turns out Mr. Tate didn’t want Scarface jumping into the mix because he might blow their cover as the big
shots from Shadow Palace.
Mr. Tate was initially going incognito with the mask to get Ms. Milly back as part of Shadow Palace’s mission. But
faced with these new players, he had a change of heart, hinting he might have his own gplan. If Scarface
had jumped out, too, it could've messed everything up.
And it was about more than just messing up the plan. The real worry was the fallout if their connection to the
Shadow Palace, an infamous underground group, was leaked. That would be a disaster.
George coolly walked up to stand his ground, and soon after, a young man hopped out of the enemy’s vehicle.
This guy was young, tall, and had a look that matched George's vibe - cool but deadly. But his eyes had a creepy
sparkle that didn’t match his youth.
They stood facing each other, enveloped in silence, neither wanting to be the first to break it. Yet, the heavy air
of tension surrounding them felt like it could erupt into flames at any second.
“Mr. Tate, it's been a while,” said the young man, his greeting cold and lifeless, reminiscent of a venomous snake
hidden in the shadows, silently biding its tfor its prey to venture too close.
George just looked at him, a slight smirk appearing. “Yeah, it has, Mr. Scathings.”
It turns out that Lucius Scathings was standing there with no surprise on his face.
He was acting like this sort of standoff was just another day for him.
