Chapter 849: Using Them?
“So you used your brothers?” Marquess Samed shook his head when he heard what his pupil had to say.
Yvonne nodded her head without hesitation as she had indeed done what he had just said.
“But I did choose those gifts with a sincere heart while keeping them in mind.” She added, stating that she was not all bad as she had good intentions mixed in with some bad ones.
Receiving her gifts had been a pleasant surprise for the boys who had not expected to find soaps in the wooden box she had handed over to Howard before they began their journey to the Royal Academy.
While she accepted that she hoped they would publicize that the soaps were a new product of CLOVER and increase its popularity by word of mouth, she also wished for them to genuinely enjoy the soaps as well.
This was also why she had not directly asked them to publicize their experience with the soaps and thus influence the boys’ opinions about it.
She knew for a fact that if she had requested their help then they would have lied even if the soaps were not according to their tastes.
.....
However, she wanted to know their true thoughts about the products and was glad to hear that they had liked it right after the first use.
Though their opinions were biased towards her, the rest of the boys who had displayed interest in the soaps would not have done so if they did not have a good opinion about it.
Therefore, she could safely assume that the soaps would be a hit among the young boys once they are released officially.
Howard and Taylor had bragging rights for owning those special soaps now but this might change in the future depending on how long it took for the store to be ready for use.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt‘I can ask Tim to help me make signature scents for them.’ She had already come up with a plan to appease them if they were unhappy with her decision.
Though the chances of them objecting to her decisions were already negligible, the little sister made sure to keep their feelings in mind.
They were precious to her and she would not ignore them just for the sake of earning a profit.
The Marquess wished to applaud the child who was working to strengthen her business but also keep her family happy.
Yvonne did not know what was going through her tutor’s mind as she was thinking of other steps that she had taken in the last six months.
Spreading the news of CLOVER’s latest items in the Royal Academy had been handed over to Howard and Taylor though they had no clue that they were acting in line with the expectations Yvonne had from them.
Her father and Butler Limo were helping her deal with the renovation of the store while her mother was also doing her part in increasing CLOVER’s name and fame.
Yvonne had not only picked soaps for the boys when she met Tim but she had also done so for some of her close ones.
Her mother had received the soap which made her smell as though she had spent the day in a garden of roses.
Raylene was excessively pleased with the new product that CLOVER had made and had done an excellent job of making it known to her good acquaintances.
The ladies she often met for tea parties were also curious to know more about it but the Countess had always kept them in the dark.
All she mentioned was that CLOVER was planning something big and this was all she could reveal for the moment.
Thanks to her secretive ways, the ladies were further intrigued and could not wait to learn more about it.
They had also come to the same conclusion as the boys who had heard the boastful words of Taylor and Howard.
The three members of the St. Claire family had gone to visit their relatives in the Valente fief which was also where CLOVER’s products were being manufactured.
Therefore, they had deduced that the Countess must have visited CLOVER’s factory and had thus gotten her hands on the new soap that had the enticing scent.
Until now, only commoners used the soaps from CLOVER which were made in the simplest of ways.
There was nothing fancy about it so the nobles had never bothered to pay it much attention.
However, things seemed to be changing after hearing what Countess St. Claire had to say about the budding business.
Therefore, they were curious to see how things would turn out in the future.
Marquess Samed, who had confirmed information about CLOVER’s expansion into the noble market, was one among those who were eager to see what the company would do next.
Yvonne had not picked anything for him so he had not yet gotten to try out the latest products and hence was waiting for his chance to arrive.
“If things go as planned then we should be receiving another delivery of soaps from my uncle.” She rubbed her chin when she thought of the last time they had contacted each other.
Viscount Marcus Valente had reached out to her through their mental link and had informed her that Tim had created a fresh batch of the soaps she had selected the last time she met them.
Since the ingredients used for making these soaps were of greater quality, they needed more time to be harvested or even gathered before they could be handed over to the Hagen family.
Therefore, they had faced a minor delay but the products would be reaching the Capital soon enough.
This conversation had taken place over a few weeks ago so Yvonne wondered when the package would be arriving.
‘He hasn’t contacted me ever since...’ She pouted as her uncle had not informed her about anything after that last interaction.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe had not even mentioned that Grandpa Valente would be heading to the Capital which was why she and the rest of the family had been surprised to see him appear before them one morning.
However, when she thought of the reason why the old man had come by, she shook her head and did not think of contacting her uncle any longer.
After all, this was his chance to spend quality time with his wife now that they were without any disturbances so she would not interrupt him as well.
The package with the latest supply of soaps wasn’t meant for commercial purposes so it could arrive when it does as she wasn’t in a hurry right now anyway.
“Will I get to test one out?” Marquess Samed’s excited voice snapped her out of a daze, making her glance at him in the next second.
Yvonne tilted her head in thought without answering him right away which brought a frown to the Marquess’s face.
“Does the tutor not get special privileges?” He muttered, sulking and grumbling that she was being a miser.
Rolling her eyes, the little girl scoffed before she nodded lest he continued brooding for the rest of their class together.
To bring CLOVER into the noble market which was mainly under the control of Earl Blaise, she needed influential figures who could attest to the fact that her soaps were worthy of being purchased by the nobles.
This was also the main aim for sending the new soaps to her brothers in the academy and her mother who had turned herself into a social butterfly after she had regained her confidence in recent years.
The new batch of soaps was made with the intention of using them for improving the image of CLOVER and elevating its status in the eyes of the nobles.
For this purpose, she would need all the help she could get and this man right here was one of the best for the job.
“Since Marquess is so eager then you get the first pick.” She revealed with a generous heart, bringing a smile on his face.
She had asked Tim to recreate in greater numbers the ones she had liked among his successful experiments so there would be quite a few for the Marquess to choose from.
However, soon Marquess Samed’s excited grin turned into a suspicious leer.
“Are you using me next?” He inquired while trying to maintain that leer which did nothing to scare the little girl.
